Edited by: Ivan Tesla on 24/12/2010 00:36:14 CCP pretty much knows that the contest is not going as planned, who knows why, but they are on the ball I'm sure they are trying to fix the issue as quickly as possible...
I'm sure they realise how bad it looks that the contest has gone into the vote period and no voting is going on (they still have many submissions that weren't added to the system or they were still assessing them before adding to the collection? who knows).
They at least need to get it fix before the vote period ends... though if they keep the same end day of voting they then have a short vote period because of that - that is akin to an accidental form of bad judgment on who will be the winners
But I'm sure they won't rush that. They will do right by us, don't worry. Plus they know how shirty we can all get HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all!! --------------------------------------------- Francis Wolcott: "I am a sinner that does not expect forgiveness. But I am not a government official."

Quote: Works will be pre-judged by CCP on the basis of their Originality, Fit to the themes and Presentation of the EVE universe, and Overall Appropriateness to the EVE universe. These will be the semi-finalists. All of these semi-finalists will be up for a public vote on this site. 20 winners of the public vote from the semi-final round will then be voted on by the CCP Art Team to determine overall winners.
Contest is open -> we submit -> contest ends -> CCP judge which entries whould be voted on -> judged entries will be up for voting -> we vote -> CCP judge the top 20 to decide 5 winners.
Not very clear from how they worded it but that was quoted straight from the judging section. We have been left in the dark, but right now I'm assuming the CCP art team are going through the submissions and preparing them for when we can vote.

We should have two pages. One with all of the submissions (because we haven't even seen that yet) and one with the CCP chosen for voting on.

that means that CCP is going through the pile atm
Voting will occur from dec 22 to jan 8 (2011). And winners will be announced in mid Jan.
That means the public polls will prolly open after new year. : ) ________________________________ ACXtreme @ deviantart |

Yes...why did they take down the entries page for us to look at? They could have at least left those up until we vote.
Seems everything is on track to me. Everybody had until the 22nd to enter the contest. Then CCP has to filter out all the crap and let us vote. I figure it will take em a week or so to do that. Once our voting period closes on the 8th they will determine the winners.
CCP's screening process is part of the voting process that began on the 22nd. Seems they are following exactly what they said they would so far.

'cept you forgot that ccp's 'web team' has to be a part of this process, and they are currently busy fixing lag and working on evegate. wouldn't be surprised if is takes ccp several years to fix this contest __
