Dear people,
[walloftext]
since a short time, my wrist is going to hurt when I'm busy for school, or playing eve ofcourse :P Better known as symptons for rsi. I only have a cheap, standard issue microsoft mouse, so that's not going to help. I'm at school constant busy with my laptop with really crappy mouse, and when Im back at home, I want to relax behind my pc, but the mouse there isn't that good either. So what I need is a mouse that won't hurt my poor wrist. I'm also going to game a bit less, but as said, at school I'm also very busy with my mouse. [/walloftext]
summary: I need an anti-rsi mouse. A friend suggested a Gigabyte GM-M8000 Ghost, but I want to hear the opinion of you guys.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe you guys should tell why you think something you suggested is going to help against the rsi, but as Freyus Bargem did for example. Posts with only 'trackball' or 'tablet' don't help me much...
But thanks for thinking along anyway :)
@Freyus Bargem: yea, looks nice, also read some good reviews about it. It's only a biiit expensive :$ Hehe :P You have experience with it, or just read it from the reviews?

I can talk from experience with this. In the last couple of years, I from time to time get such horrible pain from my wrist through the palm of my hand I've literally had to stop working for the rest of the day. It's caused by inflamation in my wrist trapping the main nerve into my hand.
A normal ergonomic mouse didn't work. I bought a Logitech MX Revolution which didn't help one bit.
A tablet didn't work. I've owned a tablet for almost 10 years and switching to this still made my wrist hurt.
The only thing that really, really helped was this stupid looking mouse:
http://www.rsi-shop.co.uk/products/airobic-mouse-right-handed-black-prev-quill-mouse-usb.asp
Ignore the looks, though expensive, it's not unweildly, it's light as a feather, uses optical tracking and most importantly holds your hand in a 'handshake' position that prevents the twisting of the arm you get with a normal mouse. It's made a tremendous difference.
Using this and wearing a hard splint type wrist support from the pharamcist during the day means my condition now clears up very quickly when it flares up, and very importantly, I can keep working.
The other thing it was suggested to me to help of course is buidling up the muscle in your wrists using a Powerball for example.

TBH ergonomic natural keyboard helped me massively while a large number of different mouses helped little. All laptops/notebooks/regular keyboards to be avoided like the bubonic plague. Most importantly : DON'T PUT MOUSE TO SUPERSENSITIVE ! Make sure you have to move that arm around...it keeps the blood flowing. Take a break regularly and stretch those joints. Ignore looks of co-workers. Oh yeah : Apple mouse is **** too. Best one are the ones that is hand-shaped and (if you're right handed) has a high left side and low right side so you elbow is less twisted. They are hard to find sadly.
