I got Concorded because I used a smartbomb for a mission and it accidentally hit someone in fleet. GCC went live for 15 minutes. I docked in station to get a new ship. GCC is over. I undock and travelled through 1 system of Amarr space (I'm Gallente). It was Pakshi system which is .9. I get Concorded again. I'm like WTF?
I thought you had to be -5 with your standings to be Concorded in enemy space? I was -2.73 for Amarr.
And to add more confusion, when I mish now, I get an aggression timer as well. I'm completely confused as to why I get an aggression timer for basic mishing?

That's PROBABLY what you were missing. GCC might have been over, but other aggression timers were hidden and kept being refreshed. You were not killed by CONCORD, but by faction police or even just gate/station guns. Need more info.
P.S. To be absolutely and completely sure ALL timers run out, ALWAYS remain docked for a period of MINIMUM 15, preferably 16 minutes even if all timers appear to have expired.

I don't recall the exact numbers, but it is similar to
-2.0 excluded from 1.0 -2.5 excluded from 0.9 -3.0 excluded from 0.8 -3.5 excluded from 0.7 -4.0 excluded from 0.6 -4.5 excluded from 0.5
so that's why you likely got whacked.

With a -2.73 faction standing, he should not have been shot down anywhere. Hence, it must have been security standing.
Thus, he could try and get his security status up, choose to behave in the future, and/or train 'Fast Talk'. --

Or a hidden unexpired timer due to refreshing on pass-by shooting or whatnot with some NPC entity. It's not like it hasn't happened before. That's why I said we need more data, like, say, the killmail listing who//what shot him for how much damage. _

Yes, it was Amarr faction and Concord as I looked closer at the KM
So what level security status is needed to enter .9 Amarr space then?
And it doesn't seem fair that a timer is hidden. That makes no sense whatsoever. Shouldn't be out in public for a player to understand. I definitedly waited a few minutes after the GCC was done. Or are you saying to wait another 15 minutes after the initial GCC is done? Is this part petionable?

He just said CONCORD was involved. Little confused now. Best if the OP just tells us his security/faction status, then we'll know for sure. --

The best way is to log out for 30 mins, waiting a couple after 15 tends not to work well.

It's called a hidden timer for 2 reasons. GCC starts when you agress and counts down. Faction timer starts at the last faction attack. Since GCC is already active, the faction timer is never shown but it is still active. The biggest i've ever seen was undocking 20 minutes later to see my ship vaporized by faction navy.

Pakshi is Concord sovereign space not Amarr, a hidden criminal agression timer a will result in concordokken, not the usual faction criminal responce. This can happen if you leave drones behind and they for whatever reason sit taking agression where ever you were (happened to me).

Yeah concord sov is a *****. If for any reason you would be targeted by navies in other systems when you get caught in their sov you just get straight up concorded and flagged with GCC. Lost a gila to this myself and was less than impressed. Navies are somewhat tankable. Concord is just a kick to the face. Have had this confirmed as "game mechanics working as intended."

Edited by: Hakkar''al Gallente on 25/12/2010 11:15:34 Option A [docking] causes the station you dock at to set an invisible agro timer for 15 minutes from when you docked, for which time that stations sentry guns will shoot you. If you undock before this timer is up, you will come under fire. As the timer is invisible to the player, this leads to a lot of noobie PvP deaths. The other disadvantage to docking up is that you can't see if any other targets enter the belts before GCC is up.
That's from here http://dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/TheOrangeGuy/Beginners_Guide_to_Piracy_2.1.pdf (My bolding of relevant section)
Which I looked into when I started pirating. Don't dock with an GCC, create a safe and go there instead - no hidden timers. Only CCP knows why it's there tho.

Pakshi is CONCORD sov. Sounds like you still had a 'yellow' timer from ANY form of CONCORD and as soon as you undock - that yellow timer becomes GCC and instant death in CONCORD sov space :(

Yellow timer : You stole something og aggressed local faction police .... also faction police hunt you by Faction Standing from -2.0 to -10 along with the local faction police also hunting you for sec status -2.0 to -10 (Concord are actually faction police in some systems)
Red Timer : Global criminal countdown meening you shot somebody or somebodys stuff
Also a valuable note when you have a Yellow timer for Faction Police you will some times get a hidden reset of timer this usually happens when you dock

Apologies. It wasn't Pakshi but Ourapheh. Still Genesis Amarr space though. So are you saying that I can't travel into Amarr space with a -2? Because I had been doing this for a while with my standings at -2.73 and this is the first time I've been shot down by navvies or Concord.

You can travel to amarr space with -2.73 faction standing. If your security status however was -2.73, you would be shot in systems 0.9 and 1.0, as per this.

Ourapheh = Interbus Sovereignty, not Amarr .... that constellation is in Genesis region but has CONCORD and Interbus sov.
Presumably Ourapheh is policed in the same way as the CONCORD sov systems - see above posts relating to aggro in CONCORD space.
To reiterate - It's NOT Amarr Space! :) Expect disaster as CONCORD do not tolerate any 'normal' aggro mechanics and flip out to GCC. . All generalisations are false - Discuss.

Its fairly simple, when you go GCC you have two timers running - one is the GCC timer and the other is the sovereign faction npc timer. Eg you go GCC in Amamake then the Minmatar Republic is the sov npc.
GCC means Concord and players can kill you, faction timer means npcs (including sentry guns of that faction) can kill you.
If you come within "sight" (on-grid) of any sentry gun or faction npc then the faction npc timer will reset back to 15 minutes.
The problem is that the faction timer doesn't show. I remember a dev FINALLY seemed to understand the issue about 18 months ago and said it was going to get fixed. If it did get fixed then it got broken again.
