Get a bunch of friends or, heck, do it alone.
There will probably be an interface to connect Eve players to Dust players, setting up contracts to attack/defend whatever.
Troll this interface, find out where the action is, get your fleet of Destroyers (with a bonus to planetary bombardment), and just wipe the planet clean of all Dusters.
Dust dies. It's creative team is re-integrated into the Eve development loop.

Dusters retaliate by using buddy accounts to create an endless series of free alts which can, in 51 days, perfectly easily train up enough skills to wipe out your silly destroyers.
Dust thrives.
EVE wins. Malcanis' Law: Any proposal justified on the basis that "it will benefit new players" is invariably to the greater advantage of older, richer players.

They already have mechanics in place to prevent OB spamming. Pluss OB can only happen in low sec null sec. Your assuming the planet that was contracted by players to fight over in low sec null sec by players will be completely unguarded in space. Not likely considering they already have a vested interest in the planet if they sent the mercs in.
Your welcome to attempt to kill dust single handedly with your destroyer fleets if you want. But sadly I think you will leave dissapointed and destroyer less.
Do your homework next time Noir. and Noir Academy are recruiting apply at www.noirmercs.comI Noir Academy: 60 days old must be able to fly at least one tech II frigate. I Noir. Recruits: 4:1 k/d ratio and can fly tech II cruisers. |

yea this post is pretty ******** and representative of a common misconception that CCP is going to allow you to spam OB.. did you know the devs actually have the power to put checks and balances in place so you can't completely put an end to DUST? they are the ones making the game afterall..
you will probably get you're chance to grief some mercs but you will need a merc infiltrator on the ground as part of your griefing team. like said it will take place in null sec, but merc can choose maybe to fight in a place where there is not as heavy of a SOV..
like merc chooses to fight in Molden Heath instead of Delve or do you really think you're gonna be able to make it in time to every DUST battles with your fail fleet of destroyers that will die on the way there to common pirates?

Do you seriously think the idea of having a single combined galaxy where wars take part both on the ground and in space is seriously a bad thing?
Once we have people fighting on foot on the ground and people flying in spaceships fighting each other, all we finally need is the ability for everyone's avatars to interact.
Then what you have is the biggest online universe where you can literally simulate living in some sort of sci-fi dystopia.

Let me use my mouse and keyboard on a ps3 and I'll happily play shooters on it. M&K is a much better control scheme than a joystick, as far a competitiveness goes.
Beyond that, who cares? PS3 may have close to 7 year old hardware but I don't really need cutting edge graphics to enjoy a game. |

CS:GO is also M&K capable as well and that just released. Finally console players are starting to be able to use proper controls for fps games.

All I am gonna say is I enjoy shooters on consoles. My friends play on consoles and I play on consoles too. Some shooters are better for PC and some are better for consoles. Some people adapt to a controller better than they do a keyboard and mouse this argument is asinine. The platform doesn't necessarily matter cause there are workarounds for everything there is a program you can download to a thumb drive to make the PS3 a mouse keyboard compatible and vice versa I play emulators on my PC and have a mappable PS3 controller driver on my PC so regardless you can play the game through the controller platform you choose but it requires some work and all it sounds like to me is wah wah wah make it easier for me cause I don't want to adapt or work towards something new. CCP also said they are working to make the game keyboard and mouse compatible for all the whiny players who can't overcome the retardation of years of beating their keyboards and mice together and grunting. I am just saying a controller makes thing much more easy cause you don' have to map shortcuts and macros its all right there you just have to adapt to having a smaller more compact interface. |

This is wye console shooters use auto aim assist and such stuff? I watched plenty of youtube video's of console gameplay and actually played myself once, You just see everybody running around whitout a head, and slow aiming whit auto assist (compared to a mouse).
If i would play whit a mouse vs a team that plays whit a controller and whit consoles that cant even run the big bf3 maps (only pc can). Anyway, i would just own the other team becouse that is just so damn slow paced. They dont stand a change to a pc reaction time (a good gamer can just insta aim and shoot another player, you just cant whit a stupid controller.
So, never say such foolish thing once agian. A console might be cheaper, and less bulshit whit compatibillity problems but it surely isn't 'better' then a proper pc whit a mouse.
I just dont even start about the graphical differences. |

give a pc kid a controller, they suck give a console gamer a mouse and keyboard, they are good.
PC gaming has been on the decline since ps1/n64 era, but even more so when the ps2/xbox came out and took the shooter crown, you can stop kidding yourselves at any time.
once again, just because a 3 year old can use a mouse and keyboard doesn't make it superior, the reason gamers prefer controllers is because it is a little harder. "auto aim" doesn't take out skill ( unless your playing halflife or something) it is 100 times easier to point and click on someone on pc then it is to actually aim and shoot on console. |

Console gaming has grown since halo.
Consoles and PC gaming cater to two very different crowds.
Consoles tend to be plug and play. If the worse thing you face is YLOD on a PS3 or Red ring of death on you xbox you send it in to have it fixed. Simple. Easy to get into. Doesn't take a lot of work. You dont want to have to mess with technicality you just want it to work.
If you tend to express your Epeen (nothing wrong with this, to each his own), through your pimped out rig of a computer you tend to be a pc gamer. You want more power and pride in what you've put together by your own hand.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with either of these approaches to fps gaming in my opinion. If you want to pc game your FPS please do so it will look glorious, and it will probably look pretty darn good on your console as well.
