Hi guys,
As the title says, I'm really desperate for someone to tell me the best way to fix my character here. My standings issues have kept me from subbing for some time as it's making Empire travel a nightmare, however I want to have another crack at fixing it.
Firstly, here's my problem:
The two standings I need to repair are -5.94 and -5.91 with Amarr and Caldari respectively.
I have Connections 5, Diplomacy 5, Social 5.
I have read about Cosmos missions, Tutorial agents, circle agents and data centres, but don't know what any of them are, or if I can do any of them with my standings this damaged.
If someone could tell me the best things to do to fix this problem with my current situation, I'll get googling and investigating where to go and how to do them, but I would really appreciate someone helping me get started.
I've had a read around but am sort of confused as to what I can and can't do and what the fastest way to get it fixed would be.
Also how many hours of work am I looking at with the most efficient fix?
Thanks in advance guys. Really appreciate any help at all atm tbh.

Tutorial agents can be done by anyone with any standings. However, to get to the relevant agents, you'd certainly have to go into hostile territory. I believe the same holds true for circle agents. I don't know offhand what the requirements are for data centers or where most of them are located.
I suggest you consider doing missions for a corp agent of a Amarr and Caldari corporation that is not located in Amarr or Caldari space until you hit -4.9 and can enter their space without difficulty to do the tutorial agents et al. It might take a little time to find such an agent, but they exist.
I've heard that Sisters of Eve is a good option too for faction standing issues, but I don't know the details here.
Any level 1 agent with negative quality will provide you with missions, so that's where I'd start grinding to above -5.0 if I were you. I see several level 1 negative quality Amarr agents in Metropolis (Minmatar space), for example, that you could work for. Yahrar Jeda at Reset (0.7) is an Administration agent in Joint Harvesting that you could work for.

Your best choices, in no particular order are : highest Khanid or Ammatar agents you have access to (friendly to both Caldari and Amarr, very low chance of having TOO bad relations with either of them, so at least one should have some attractive agents) OR alternatively just go for negative quality L1 agents of either Caldari or Amarr directly (neg Q L1s always give you missions nowadays, patch quite a while ago changed it like that). _

My standings with Khanid and Ammatar are -1.53 and -3.32 respectively.
Too low to get missions from them or shall I go about finding an agent?
So are we looking at a "do 16 missions, get a storyline mission to up your standing" type of deal here? Is this the only way out of the mess my character is in?
Also finally, what type of standings increase can I expect when I complete that 16th mission?
Thanks ever so much for your help here guys.

Edited by: Estel Arador on 30/12/2010 21:24:44 Isaziwa and the neighbouring systems have a collection of Caldari Navy negative quality level 1 agents and storyline agents.
I used an Amarr Navy Slicer fitted for gank (lasers are great as they don't use ammo and you'll be shooting lots of ships). It took me about 200 missions (including the storyline missions) to get to the point where the faction standing was high enough to talk to normal agents. At that point my Caldari Navy standing was high enough for high quality level 3s. It should work out about the same for you.
Note that these 200 missions take very little time to complete. Fly to location, fire your guns once at each target, return to base. It's a bore but it doesn't take that long per mission. I'd say you're looking at about 15 hours of work for the 200 missions.

How do I get there and run missions in it and the surrounding systems, when I get shot anytime I go into Caldari space?
(This may be a stupid question).
Thanks for the post by the way :)

Good point; I hadn't considered that.
You can start the process outside Caldari space (there are low quality level 1 agents across the universe), except there might not be such convenient clustering. Once you're above -5, you can move to Isaziwa.

:)
So the bottom line here is that I need to grind out an epic amount of storyline missions to repair this standing, and there is basically no other way?
Thanks again guys.

On a positive note, standings changes are based upon the difference between current standing and MAX standing (in the direction of gain/loss). Since you're at horrible standings, there's a HUGE difference to +10.0, so the percentages will pay off big for a while. _______________________________

Khanid it is, then. You can do missions with any faction that you have better than -2 standings. Look up Royal Khanid Navy and go to work. If you can live in lowsec, I remember the Irmalin hub is truly awesome with its multiple L2Q20, L3Q20, and L4Q20 agents. Obviously you'd have to become friendly with whoever inhabits/defends that system nowadays.
But they have highsec agents as well.
Keep doing Khanid missions and storylines until the cows come home, and all should be right with the world eventually.

Do courier missions for Amarr (any corp will do) in lowsec until your standing is fine with Amarr again (would very suprise me if you need more then a few hours). Then do the same for Caldari in Amarr highsec.

He can't do any missions with standings below -2. Except maybe the negative quality L1 agents. He'd be much better off running level 3-4 missions for Royal Khanid Navy. Or courier missions for Khanid Transport, if you wish. They have a L3 Distribution agent in highsec.

And how high are the chances that she/he got the stSnding for any lvl3 or lvl4 khanid agent?
Storyline missions from a lvl1q-20 agent are going to be exactly the same then from a khanid agent but will give much more stSnding.
Ofc, it's much more fun to read about the troubles to move a ship that is lvl4 capable to khanid space without hitting amarr or caldari customs or your local pirate camp.

1.Hauler alt; 2.Courier contracts; 3.Market of khanid space; 4.bring a bpc and build it there, or: 5.NDA since you dont need a ship lvl4 capable to run lvl1 missions.

You get standings for the L3-L4 agents by running the L1-L2 missions. It's a much better plan than running ONLY negative quality L1 missions for some other faction. That would take months and months.
The best market station in Khanid region was Agil last time I checked.
