I guess the whole Plex-For-Remap thing being cancelled is gonna hurt some people. PSS: Also, no jokes about what military experts are calling this... please.

Lol, I don't think 1 month counts as an investment. More of putting money away under a couch and getting it back when you're cleaning up your house. Still, point stands. I know a few people just got pwned by CCP's testing of Plex-For-Remaps. If anyone wants to approximate the damage, i'd be willing to have a laugh.

I know some people might have been able to offload when the prices started turning or when CCP said they weren't letting P4R (Plex for Remaps) happen.

When did the Jita prices ever hit 400M isk? Two months ago the price was maybe 10M higher. You might want to check the facts before you say things that might make you look foolish... There are currently oodles of folks off for the holidays, having tons of expendable cash (a lot of folks got hard cash for their Christmas). Also the redistribution of the SP from the Learning skills created an instant demand for skill books and new shiny equipment folks could suddenly use. The fastest way to get a lot of isk is by purchasing PLEX and selling it for isk on the market.

Bought at 345-350 sold at closer to 400. Probably would've reinvested now if I had a client.

PLEX price is supposed to raise slowly over time mostly due to easier ways to make money and inflation. They reached 400M and bit under because of PLEX for remap rumors, PLEX for Power-of-two and some manipulations, but basically there was no logical reason for such a high jump in price so now its coming back to normal. Markets usually take a while to correct themselves.

I buy into near enough any and all of those threads, and generally make a decent profit out of it. That is of course assuming the thread is noticed rather early after being posted. It's not more than a few percent extra return but none the less it is profit.

I only buy PLEX when I need them (month by month), that was last week, four for 350M isk a piece. The month before that four at 380M isk. The influx of PLEX is not really limited by any ingame mechanics, thus I find the item far to unpredictable for short term investment. And I never ever keep enough isk around to buy 100 PLEX. PLEX pricing is far to uniform across regions to really profit from cross region trading, the margins in Jita are pathetic.
