So, I have another account that is currently not active. I've received an email regarding that account:
Quote: Five free days of game time and the free CONCORD Echelon are almost gone. Reactivate before January 3rd and get
Five Free Days of EVE Online The CONCORD Echelon, a frigate-class codebreaker ship Thousands or even Millions of Skill Points that are waiting for you as a result of the recent Learning skills change
I not concerned about the Echelon or the 5 free days. BUT, I am concerned about the SP. Does this mean that if I don't reactivate before January 3rd, I won't get my learning SP back? Or is this just a marketing/reminder thing, for those who might be out of the loop, and I'll still get those SP no matter when I reactivate?

The SP will be there indefinitely; it will never expire.

It's just a reminder that you have SP from the learning skills that is unlocated and you may assigned it to other skills.
You will never loose SP points. Only if you don't upgrade your clone and then someone kill your pod.

STOP RIGHT THERE SKIPPY.
I've had a lot of these emails recently, including one that looked a lot like this. Are you 100% certain that it came from CCP? Because after looking at the web address linked by the click here button, it certainly wasn't a link to CCP's account page.
In answer to your question, your SP is quite safe.

I got them too. And they are from CCP (at least the ones I got are from CCP). Sender is: EVE Online <[email protected]> The link url starts with: http://links.mail.eveonline.com/
