Make sure you fit scram and at least dual web. Either have a pilgrim with tracking disrupts or a falcon on standby to avoid getting shredded. I hear they do more damage then your typical Sleipnir. Beware of 'epic cuteness', or you will get ransomed for more tuna like last time.

I was going to write that into my description, but I figured everyone would think I was crazy.
The question is if he is that tiny, then it's a bit too young to really look for that kind of body language because he's going to be a little ball of spaz anyways.
The best way is to get him to come in close to you using the treats technique (if you want to keep using tuna, then don't just put out a dish of tuna guys, you gotta put a little trail to get him to come closer to you. He's never going to just trust you because you put out tuna. Gotta be a trust game.)
Think of it like the Jita scam where people offer players double back their ISK for sending them ISK.
Fundamentally, the Kitten is untrusting. By putting food out, you are offering the first ISK of 10 ISK. Cat doubles down and gives you 100 ISK, and you need to give 1000 ISK.
By the time you get him to the 500M ISK mark, he should be in your hand and licking your fingers.
And then you pull the scam and bag the little bugger.
Yes, I know you think that you are doing something to help him, but from his perspective he is being totally scammed. Just saying. :) Mimidae Risk Solutions Recruiting |

try to play with him, imitating cats works often to make one consider you friendly. don't go to him, try very slowy, and if he go back when you do this, stop immediatly, don't force your way close to him, or he'll flee quickly. good chances that if you stop moving he'll stop also, and may think about accepting you later.
cats are pretty cautious about neutrals, they live on nullsec after all. also don't take a ex-goon dev with you, the cat will think you'll try to scam him :P |

He's not in front of the office, he's in the rocks in front of our apartment block. Ghillie suit is a good idea though. I wish there was such a thing as a catmagnet... CCP Goliath | QA Director | @CCP_Goliath |

I'm leaving work soon to buy tuna and maybe some cat litter in case the kitten has to spend the night at my apartment... or my apartment becomes its forever home (more likely of the two options) CCP Affinity | Follow me on Twitter Content Designer for EVE Online |

You need the help of an old lady. I had a stray cat that was half bobcat, with huge feet and big claws. When I went off to university I had to take him with me. He became the badass boss of the neighborhood cat community. I fed him, but none of us college guys could ever touch him. Everybody tried their animal Zen cat empathy skills on him, but no luck. He was just too wild. One day I was trying to do a Vulcan mind-meld with him so I could manage to doctor a nasty infected wound he had on his ear. Old Edna next door saw that nonsense and just came over picked his little butt up. Treated badass tomcat like he was a one-year-old who needed his nose wiped. He looked kind of stunned at first, but then acted just like a baby with old Edna. You guys need to call in a pro grandma in who won't fool around. |

I have no trouble picking up any cat.. but everytime we get near, he runs away. Vvery very tiny kitten and very timid, once we actually lure him out it's all good from there CCP Affinity | Follow me on Twitter Content Designer for EVE Online |

A lot of that is instinctual because you're so tall. Get low to the ground he'll respond better.

If you intend to keep it once captured, make sure to get it wormed, de-flea'd and take it to see a Vet, you have no idea what strays pick up;. |

CCP Goliath wrote:CCP Affinity, CCP Vertex and another colleague whose devname escapes me, have just spent the last hour trying to catch a kitten that is living in a large pile of rocks across the road from our apartment block. We waited patiently listening to him meow to establish his position, then lured him out of the rocks with tuna. He ate the tuna, but we were unable to get a hold of him to take him to safety. We are going back tomorrow with a cat carrier to have another go at rescuing this kitten, and I wondered if any of you have any tips that might help us?
You need a fishing net on a pole... Wait for the cat to eat the tuna... Then drop thr net over him... Now its just picking him up without being scratched or bit will ne tricky... I suggest hockey gloves... Ok, so you've corrected my spelling,do you care to make a valid point? -áThere are no stupid Questions... just stupid people... |

Ya... Cats can hear a dime drop a 1000 feet away. They'll hear a big loud noisy fumbling human coming from behind like it's a MAC Truck driving up behind them. :)
Definitely not recommended. Mimidae Risk Solutions Recruiting |

- Kittens respond better to females. Please have female dev luring cat out. - Also, small kittens are noobs and might not know hoy big adult cats can get. You might be able to trick him into believing that you are a fellow cat if you approach while wearing a cat costume.
So there you have it, female dev in cat costume and we still want those pics.

This is what you do...
Get a Force Recon and a heavy interdictor.
Stasis web the kitty and disrupt its weaponry. Then throw a bubble up so it can't get away quickly.
When this occurred.. kitty will be very pissed off. Rather then killing it, as most EVE Online players would do, feed it little seven day old characters in tech 1 frigates until it gets within 1 meter from you...
At this point, you pick it up.. drop the bubble and stop stasis webbing it. Go back inside your house and be a nice human being to the poor little kitty. |
