Edited by: Pottsey on 19/01/2005 22:06:53 This was a tricky one it took some fancy re-wiring of the core power systems of my ship to pull off and I think I broke the ships warranty . Trying to beat the old record was not an easy task. Luckily for me Amerame heard what I was tiring to do and talked to a few high level contacts he new in various research departments. After a week of asking around he found a contact that would sell him a Implant 'Gnome' KYA2000 which he in turn sold onto me. Just what I needed the perfect implant to help me regulate the power flow in real time boosting my shield recharge without a system collapse.
Cutting a long story short I started in my cargo ship and managed to pull of a 37 second shield recharge. Next onto my Battleship and I got 84 seconds.
Note: This is not a combat setup. This is purely for fun and the challenge. As much fun as it is to watch my shields go from 0 to max in under 40 seconds its useless for real combat. No hardeners for a start. No aferburner e.c.t.
Last time I did this someone challenged me to get as many hitpoints per second as I could without using boosters. By using less recharge rate but boosting the shield cap I managed to boost the hitpoints per second up. My record is 109.6 hitpoints per second with room for improvement, that without useing boosters. Tomorrow I plan to try a few new system tweaks and re wiring to boost those hitpoints per second up. I should be able to boost my shield cap by another 30% which in turn boosts up the hitpoints per second.
A big thanks to Amerame for the help, I couldnÆt have done it without him.

I'll bet you're looking forward to the upcoming shield and armor boosts. More shield capacity = higher hp/s

Pottsey you might want to check out the stats on the Rattlesnake with 3940 more base shields than a normal scorp it looks like it might be pretty good at what you do.
You will have about 12k shield with good skills and a nice 6 meds and 6 lows to play with

ôAnd ure using a dominix correct?ö ThatÆs correct I only fly Gallente ships with Dominix being my main battleship due to the drone support. Even if the Scorpio or Rattlesnake turn out to get more hitpoints per second I would not swap ships for roleplay reasons, I refuse to fly Caldari ships.
ôI'll bet you're looking forward to the upcoming shield and armor boosts. More shield capacity = higher hp/sö Sure am, every littlie bit helps. What I really want are T2 shield relays and T2 shield flux modules. Then I can get a real crazy shield recharge.

Pottsey, do you run agent missions with this passive tanked Domi? If so, how successful are you?
And thanks for doing this - you're the only one that I know of, and originality is worth a lot in this game. |

in relation to shield recharge- i had the funniest battle yesterday in asteroid belt 1 of nalvula. 2 ibises and 1 velator (acolytes and all) vs my armageddon .. they orbited at 500m and i cudnt hit them at all (didnt use my drones for fairness) and we had a battle. It was intense and lasted 30 mins with the 3 shooting me constantly after the original ibis which engaged me 30 minutes previous called inj reinforcements to beat my recharge. It all ended badly for the unlucky trio as one of my enemies came into local and i used my drones.
result: 2 ibises and 1 velator on the scrapheap, and 1 armageddon into half armour ------------------

öPottsey, do you run agent missions with this passive tanked Domi? If so, how successful are you?ö I used to do missions with the pure hitpoints per second setup only back then I had 102 hitpoints per second and I never lost or came close to losing the battleship even in level 3 missions. Now I have learnt more and use hardeners. I tend to take out the 3 mid modules which have the least amount of impact on my hitpoints per second. Then I fit 1 EM, 1 Thermal and 1 afterburner moduleÆs. If itÆs a real nasty mission and I feel paranoid I take out the afterburner to boost my hitpoints per second.
ôMy record is 109.6 hitpoints per second with room for improvement, that without useing boosters. Tomorrow I plan to try a few new system tweaks and re wiring to boost those hitpoints per second up. I should be able to boost my shield cap by another 30% which in turn boosts up the hitpoints per second.ö I over estimated by a lot 30% was far better then I could pull off more like 13% extra shield cap, tops. I boosted my hitpoints to 112.8 per second. That was solo so if I group with Escort Tactics I could boost that up a little more.
