Hi,
Despite the title, I know that they come from rats and mission kills, however, due to what I perceive as a massive volume required for the LP store are they available from any other sources?
Example (as riduculous as this may sound to some of you), could they/do they come from Faction Warefare kills?

Try looking at other mission-specific goods. On average, about 500 Zor's Custom Navigation Links trade in the Forge. There's probably almost no reselling of those things. They boost AB duration by 10% and require cybernetics 5. That means they're nearly worthless except for salvage. They only appear in a few missions (two level 4 and maybe a couple of lower level missions).
If we were to look at all of New Eve, there are probably thousands of Zor missions, mostly of the level 4 kind, run every day. So why wouldn't there be a vast amount of tags out there from hundreds to thousands of level 4 faction missions? As if that wasn't enough, you can run faction level 5s (sometimes in high sec). These drop huge numbers of tags.

Not anymore. Getting a L5 mission in highsec is now considered an exploit.

I heard it was less frequent, but still happened. Don't know much about it past that.
