I'm confused :(
Taking advantage of one of the preview offers from eve, i've returned after a long absence to eve.
And what I like to do is run lvl 4 missions, but i've hit a problem
Sensor jamming rats (I'm sure they did'nt use to), the sort that reduce your lock-on range to peanuts
ideas on how i kill these? fof missile are out as i never trained any missile skills, drones need to be targeted to be effective, or they hare off in many direction and I die when the tank runs out (well warp out normally)
Ideas? up close and personal? etc... help :(

Fit a sensor booster and use scripts as needed. It won't negate the dampening entirely, but it will help a lot.
How much one will help I'm not entirely sure, because I just turn down all missions with heavy damps now. Too much of a pain in the ass.

I've found that the easiest way to deal with range damping or ECM jamming rats is to either bring a friend, or fly a drone boat.
As sacrilegious as it sounds to many people, I prefer running missions as a multiplayer activity. EVE is, after all, a multiplayer game :)

You're fighting the Serpentis, and they're "sensor damnpening". Guristas jam, and it's very different.
My approach is to get as close as all hell, and of course, I use autocannons, so I generally kill anything I choose to in 2 or 3 shots. _____ ^ That is a sig line. It should be there without me having to put one in. |

Fly closer. Or, the universally accepted option, use drones.
