We all know it. Eve has the largest amount of explorable area out of all the MMO's (technically, could be debated). However, this massive universe has a bit of a problem... Everything looks the ****ing same. So then, with Incarna, I want to ask CCP if you guys up there with your magical trousers will give Incarna a bit of exploration incentive. You know, this station is different from that one, that station has an AWESOME bar, this station has the best store to get parts, etc. etc....
Or maybe even different legalities? Go to Amarr space if you want to buy slaves! Go to gallente space if you want to buy hookers! Go to Caldari space if you want to buy.... less interesting hookers! The picture got across, I hope.
So, essentially what I'm asking is that with Incarna, will the inside of stations be a good bit different? Or will it be the same station over and over and over again (just like it's the same rocks and stations from the outside over and over and over again right now).

I agree. I want some real incentive to visit various stations.

One thing they could make, though I believe would be VERY hard, and wouldn't have that much appeal to the current EVE community, was the implementation of shops for order that were made in the market. E
Either that or a list that would have to be accessed inside the station. The real problem is the interactivity and the willingness to do so. Some people just don't want to walk on stations, and sometimes, walking on stations can be very counter productive from a market driven player. He simply buys and sell, if he can do so on his ship, why walk on stations?
Its a big aspect for the game to be able to walk on stations, but its not necessarily something you MUST do, and here is where the concept fails a little.

Well let me change it up a little. Instead of using these shops for regular items that folks use in space, why not make these shops for things that are specifically made for Incarna? No point in buying items that only have use inside the station on the regular market if you already intend on walking around, and it might be a bit interesting...

Why not make both? The shop doesn't need to specialize in Incarnia Stuff.I really wouldn't mind being forced to shop on foot in Incarnia, to add another layer of imersion. But I know LOTS of folks won't like it, so don't do it so.

The awesomeness of a particular bar will be entirely down to the proprietor.

No, probably nothing special will be included...Incarna will likely go live barebones and barely functional as-is, fancy stuff is beyond the scope

Edited by: Chopper Rollins on 05/01/2011 10:55:11 MMMM gambling....along with prawnography, the internetual equivalent of hioren. That is, a product that doesn't need to be simplified or upgraded because it so perfectly complicates and degrades the user. Seriously, dumb idea. Walking in stations, apart from the ingame side of it, could utterly kill 2nd Life and anything like it. Lotta people use eve as a space themed chat room, don't they? Gambling, **** and spam? If they must be, please keep em down to a dull roar, or even invisible if possible. Incarna could be something very special, don't thwart it before it's here.
edit: whoa filters

Edited by: Rylos Cenaturi on 07/01/2011 23:20:25 I think it would be awesome if they had a bar in the station similar to the Afterlife bar in Mass Effect 2.
