If I scan down a magnetometric site does anyone know if the loot will be the same regardless of hi/low/nullsec/wh location? |

Edited by: Dramorn on 05/01/2011 15:21:33 From what I've been told, the number of possible cans to open will increase going from hi to lo to nullsec. Rewards MAY become better, but also expect more resistance. WH space...take a friend. Or a fleet.

No, it will not be the same.
First off Worhmhole Mag and Radar sites have Sleeper rats and sleeper based loot. This is used for I believe T3 production. You would never get say Alloyed Trit bars in a wormhole sleeper site, just as you would never get melted nano ribbons in an empire space mag site.
As for hi, low, and nul... honestly, I'm not 100% sure. And by that I mean, yes in low sec you'll get better loot than hi, and nul is even better than low. However, the sites aren't exactly the same. I mean if you find say a Gurista Debris field in hi sec, you won't find that in nul, but instead some sort of Gurista death cloud field.
If you did manage to find the exact same name site in both hi and low, then I'm not sure if they have the same loot. I would assume not, but can't say for certain.

Depends how you mean.
No, sec status does not change the rewards in any particular site ù this is more a matter of being lucky with the random number generator.
However, sec status determines which kind of sites/sigs/plexes can spawn in the system, and as always, the lower the sec rating, the better the sites you can find.
So the answer is: no, but yes, kind of. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Low and null-sec mags and radars will give much better rewards than their high-sec cousins. There will be more cans, and the rewards will be increased per can. Also, it is very common to receive 10+ T2 salvage in null-sec. The items you can receive only change so far as null-sec gives better tuner/rig blueprints (not sure if the rig ones appear in HS at all) than high-sec.

What Tippia said
A given site is always equally hard regardless of the system, but the harder sites only spawn in lower security systems.

Cool, thanks a lot for the information. It makes sense that the better stuff is generally found in low/nullsec, since those are generally more dangerous.
Thanks again :)

Oh, one more thing to add... Wormhole class is sort of like security status. In a class 1 wormhole, you will only see frigate and cruiser sized sleer rats. In C2, you may see 1 or 2 battleships in a single site. 3s, you'll start seeing more, and start facing warp disruption and such. 4s you'll see heavy neuting, battleships, and it just gets messier and messier to the point of needing to go in groups.

Not to hijack, but a related question since WH sleepers were brought up...how much harder are sleeper frigates / cruisers than normal frigates and cruisers? Thinking about doing some WH exploring since that's all I seem to find these days.

WH class 1-3 frigates and cruisers can be tanked in BCs
WH class 4-6 BC can be volleyed from a pack of those (drake probable will survive)
ofcourse count the webs/crams/*neuting-nosing in c4+++ whs so, be prepared they are not easy prey.
