Hi-slots
5x XR-3200 Heavy Missile Bay + 2x Named Medium Nosferatu's
Mid-slots
1x Medium Shield Booster II, 1x Kinetic Hardener, 1x Thermal Hardener, 1x Large Shield Extender II and 1x named shield amplification unit.
Lo-slots
3x PDU II + 1 BCS I

With shield/engineering/mechanic skillpoints at max. and Battlecruiser Level 3, my Ferox has:
5643 shields (recharge 574 secs)
Shield resistances (with hardeners runing):
15 % EM
66 % EXP
74.5 % KIN
66 % THERM
2315 Capacitor (recharge 306.42 secs)
Obviously, once I get Battlecruiser to level 5 my resistances will be higher. Capacitor is satisfactory while using missiles and the nos will definitely help maintain it.
My only wishes are that CCP fix the ridiculous hybrid cap problem and also give the Ferox a missile bonus rather than a hybrid range bonus.

I have almost same setup.
but i have 2 heavy pulse instead of your nos,
large cl-5 instead your med BS II, and a 4th PDU instead your dmg mod.
Its awsome what a such fitted ferox is capable.

i think i'd be tempted to switch the amp or extender for an em hardner. Looks like a v handy ship tho!

Your use of nosferatu's suggests this is a PVP setup.
If this the case you need to boost your EM resistance with a EM hardener.
drop the extender and keep the amplifier
If you are shield tanking you need a Large Shield Booster Medium will not cut it.

It's the largest gunboat that the Caldari has and I would like it to stay a gunboat if you all don't mind. Of course I now can fly Caldari HAC so maybe I should just stop whining

I still think the ferox needs better bonuses for it's resistances per lvl 5% isn't enough. it barely helps at all. it is even more minute with resisters on which is a must in in combat. even maxed at a godly lvl 5 the bonuses still are very small in exchange for the time spent training BC skill. I think the resistances should be at least 7% per lvl. at lvl 5 even the 7% is small when you couple it with resisters. it just allows the ship to be a little more flexable with it's mid slots. over all it's almost a wasted bonus. I made a post long ago about this

It's a NPC setup, actually. The NOs work quite nicely on orbitting frigs.

It's a NPC setup, actually. The NOs work quite nicely on orbitting frigs.
NPC's won't run out of cap like player ships, but the extra cap for yourself is always nice. I always like more Dmg, but it's up to you.

if you use that for NPC, you gotta have at least an AB, cause picking up loot at 175 m/s blows dunky cox
if you use that for PvP, you better off using 1 EM hardener than kinetic, cause most people use lasers

My NPC (lvl3 agent missions) setup:
5 x 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher
2 x 250mm Compressed Coil Gun
10MN Afterburner II
Gistii A-Type Small Shield Booster
'Anointed' I EM Ward Reinforcement (active EM)
Ditrigonal Thermal Barrier (active thermal)
Kinetic Deflection Amplifier I (passive kinetic)
2 x PDU II
Local Hull Conversion Overdrive Injector I
'Pandemonium' I Ballistic Enhancement
Gives me 480m/s speed, 60/68/68/68% shield resistances with some boosting and cap for running all modules forever. Oh, and nice damage output too...

Well, it's 4.38 (57/13) shield units per one cap unit without amp. Gist A-Type large gives 2.72 (245/98) shields per cap.
Gives me enough to tank all lvl3 agent mission rats forever. And I like to keep my shield modules running all the time. I'm too lazy to keep my eye on shield meter. Try to run large booster with afterburner that way.
That is "all around" setup for missions and for all rats. I could use specific hardeners by opponent type and boost amp too...
And btw. It was enough to tank apoc firing lasers from optimal range. Could have tanked that forever with ab running. Though I had boost amp in that fit.

Oh... Bet you wouldn't like my soon(tm) coming Raven setup for lvl4 missions either. It's going to be based for large booster and amp 
I'll allways try to fit my ships for decent speed and with defence modules (shield or armor) I can run forever without worrying cap running out.

makes me go insane... btw, how much does it cost?

It's not on the market in EVE, so you won't find it there. Look on eve-i.com, you'll find it. It's an insanely good booster, but it costs ~40M. Recharges 57 shield units for 13 cap units every 2 seconds. Worth EVERY penny.

Check on the escrow market, people put them up for sale every once in a while. I got mine in Yulai X - DED Assembly Plant.
