I presume that despite discarding the history of 8 years forums by not importing the data that the posts will be available in archive form?

As far as EVE-Search goes and the "old forums" guess we'll just have to wait and see from the info I have.
While I obviously would love to keep EVE-Search runnings for yours (and my notification) running I'm all for closing down if the real forums fill the gap that EVE-Search provides to pilots.
Thought that was worth posting

Oh hai! I'm writing the dev blog for the new forums at the moment, so it's definitely in progress and will be with you soonTM :) Hm.. Spaceballs references you say.. interesting.. *makes note*
In the mean time though, I've just published a teaser for you on the Incursion website. There's a few more short paragraphs from other teams on their features on the way as well.

You need to pick a better CCP name. No offense but Alice seems more of a year 2000 name than year 22000 or so.

The countdown animation does look too clean/unreal.. I think the animation of those pictures vertical size shouldn't be linear but more of a sinus-thing. 
edit: thanks for the update!! Looking forward to it. Reserve some Dev time for after the release as there will be plenty of people with opinions/experiences/wishes for the forums you'll have to incorporate or there will be plenty of rages
