Hello!
I had a quick question about corporation standings updates. Before inferno, I had a corp that I had started and was setting up a POS. After kicking everyone from corp that didn't meet the minimum standings, the corporation standings updated over night after downtime. Now, after inferno, I restarted the corp and was trying to setup a POS again in high sec. This time however, after I kicked everyone out, the standings didn't update overnight like it did before.
So my question is did they change this mechanic with inferno? or rather fix it. |

i don't know if it came in a earlier patch, but in inferno, you will need to kick everyone with a bad standing for 7 days + DT.
that is, you kick everyone on Monday 13th at 09h00, Standings will apply on Monday 20th at 09h00 + DT => Monday at 11h03. (best DT duration obviously, but it can be another patch day no play)
hope i was clear.

Edit : you have to kick every member with bad standings you can see in corp standing list. Every char with a super / terrible standing that is not actually PAYING will not be taken in calculations. (inactive accounts) |

actually, you're not right.
OLD Mechanic --> changes to corp standing were a 7 day (DT) scale, and you'd get half standing difference every day. So if you had 5.00 standing in a 1 man corp you made, you'd have 2.50 after DT on day 1 (assuming you hit a storyline to "kick" the standings).
NEW Mechanic --> changes to corp standing are calculated daily at DT, provided that: 1. The member does not have null standings (i.e. has run a mission at some point) 2. The member has been in the corp for AT LEAST 7 days.
Since you've only been in your corp for 5 (at the time of this writing), you do not meet the second requirement for having your standings applied to the corp's standing. Once you hit the 7DT mark, you should see your corp standings reflect yours. That said, you may need to run a storyline to get it to update properly over that DT.
edit -- benefit of this is you now have seven (7) days in which to anchor the sticks after accepting a new member, rather than ~23 hours as with the old system. |

Absolutelty right.
my bad !
standing are applied fully the next DT, but only if the character has 7days (+DT) or more, belonging to your corporation.
every member kicked should see standing changes the next DT.
my bad again |

Awesome thank you very much for explaining this. I was confused as to EXACTLY how the mechanic worked, but this is an excellent explanation. |
