In your honest opinion, how well do you think these sell? I mean they're not consumed like Robotics or Enriched Uranium. What are your thoughts?

Well as far as i know they used to build POS's. So i dont think it would sell very well. Unless you start building POS's your self.

Edited by: Wyke Mossari on 07/01/2011 12:48:11 The demand for all Advanced Commodities is none existent, which is why they are worth less than they cost to make.
The majority of low sec alliances have stockpiles of POS. Unless there is a significant 0.0 war or CCP made some changes to increase demand this segment is dead for the foreseeable future.

Tis true. Was scouring that market last night.
Shame really.

Well what I think I'll do is stockpile enough and then dump them on the market.

The rate at which IT is burning through sovereignty blockade units, I wouldn't be surprised if the price of wetware mainframes increases.

You think they buy their stuff from Jita?

You think they buy their stuff from Jita?
If their supplies are being generated internally, and normally sold in jita, then that lack of supply would have an impact on the jita market.

Why would major alliances even produce them in the first place when the P1 are worth around 150% than the finished AC.
Instead export P1 to Jita, and buy AC.

Edited by: Acac Sunflyier on 09/01/2011 08:34:16 The reason I'm making them is that the colonies are all in low sec and I want to avoid that area as much as possible unless I have 200 Wetware Mainframes to pick up. Besides, if trends like that continue the price eventually rises

After the next release the p4 products might rise since the redesigned PI system makes it essentially impossible to produce P3's on a single planet. (P1's and P2's will be less clicky though, so that's good news for POS fuel) Vote Illectro for CSM5! Supporting the New Generation of Eve Players |

Except that uranium, mechanical parts, and consumer electronics will now require 2 planets instead of 1 to produce. Which means even more planets are required for robotics (mech parts and consumer elec).

Currently, yes, P4 PI products have a very low demand, being primarily used in POS production.
However, when the real features of Incursion get released, this will change to some extent. The new Meta2 capital modules that are being added via BPCs in the Concord LP store all require varying amounts of P4 materials to use. In particular, Nano-factories are used extensively. I posted about this some months ago here

Let me guess you have a huge pile of Uranium, Mechanical Parts and Consumer Electronics
All of these are being produced happily on single planets on the test server. However, producing a p3 - such as robotics - on a single planet has been nerfed, although you could happily alternate your extractors between the various source materials. Vote Illectro for CSM5! When did this change take effect?
The last time I was on there about a week ago it was all you could do to get 2 ECUs 14 heads, 2 basic processors, and a launchpad with Advanced CCs. Currently I have several planets with 14 extractors, 4 basic processors, and 2 advanced processors, plus a launchpad, so this change is very welcome news if it's true.

Perhaps I'm missing something but I'm not having any problems making P2's on single planets, I don't use nearly as many heads as your setup, and that gives me enough grid to run multiple processors. Vote Illectro for CSM5! Supporting the New Generation of Eve Players

now I am not 100% positive, but I believe all the named capital ship modules coming next patch require the top tier PI materials to make.
So might see some increases in the future |
