stealing is actually minimal on the effort front tbh.
ganking can take time but frankly a laughable amount of effort.
unlike scrubs who spam contracts in local, scamming can be an almost entirely passive income kthxbai

Stealing is easy, the hard part is finding a stupid enough corp with stuff worth stealing.
If not then you need to join a larger non-stupid corp, gain their trust and roles to steal all their ****.
Still requires work or I'd be doing it all the time instead of sitting in station looking at my ship.

Frankly, stealing, extorting, etc is the equivalent of playing Eve on easymode. This also goes for plexing as well.
That being said, I won't fault you on the way you play your game you pay your money (or isk equivalant) and can do whatever you want.

I support all forms of vile evil, but I have to say I feel sorry for local contract/spam scammers. There is simply no style in it, and the money isn't worth that kind of time and effort. Sure I know they use macros, but that makes me pity them even more.
There are much smarter and more amusing ways to steal/scam money.

If you have never scammed someone for, say maybe over 350 M or a plex, if you have never suicided someone for billions of isk-whether or not it dropped-if you have never tasted the sweet nectar of fresh tears.... You are missing out on some of the best this game has to offer.
If you have never had 5/5 contracts out, *all scams, and seen your contract window flash (AH-HA HAHHA) or if you have never been threatened with a petition because you ripped off some greedy fool, eve provides you these joys on a daily basis!
If you have never sold an expanded cargohold for 460 Million isk, or sold a Carbon for 650 Million, you probably don't know how satisfying it is to play eve for for years with multiple accounts, All on the back of poor sods whose greed helped scammers/gankers/baiters like myself-line their pockets with isk. Ahhh, this is the life. Great post Spank

This approach of acquiring wealth by "foul" gameplay (matter of perspective imo) and the harshness of EVE itself reveals the "Scrooge Mcduck" -effect (anyone reading Don Rosa's books?) for many honest players too, meaning player being moar cunning than others and making isk by using honest methods and still becoming rich.
