Ok so this is probably in the wrong section but I'm sure it will be moved if it is.
Basically, I started playing this game 4+ years ago with 2 Real life friends, myself and one of my mates are still playing and are still very much active.
My other mate fell out of love recently and this time "it's for good"
after lots of "yeah yeah, you'll be back, everyone always is" he is convinced that this is it and he won't be back. So I'm like give me your stuff blaa blaa, no really... if your quiting, give me your damn stuff.
so he gave me his stuff... now I want him to sell his character (probably worth about 15-20 bil+) and then give me the isk and I'll split it between the myself and my mate that still plays.
my question is; will ccp ban my account for shifting large amounts of isk around assuming I'm RMT'ing?!?!?!
should I petition before hand and explain whats going to happen?

If you wanted to be a real friend, stop trying to milk all the ISK you can from him. Let him keep his ISK and his assets in case he wants to play with you guys again.

Well I've said many many times he will never actually quit, he is adamant he will, this is my way of calling his bluff.
If he does it then I guess he really did want to quit.

Nah, your reasoning is flawed.
I quit a few times over the years (plus on some other MMOs too) even going as far as giving away stuff and deleting characters. But it never put me off going back to that game.
Problem with MMOs is there are not that many good ones about, so we tend to end up going back to one when we have started to forget why we left in the first place.
In my case I rarely play a character that I go back to, I just start a new one. Not a wise decision with Eve though as it takes so long to develop a character.
Because of the way Eve is your friend would be better off just leaving his character and assests alone when he leaves as he could come back even when he says he won't.

If it's just your way of calling his bluff then you won't get any isk from it.

Believe it or not, starting over fresh in Eve is actually not that bad... I've done it several times and I may be doing it again soon. It has it's drawbacks sure, but overall it can make the game fresh too, letting you have a freer feeling when playing.
The simple solution is, have his auction/sale plan to have the ISK sent to your character directly. If you are listed in the thread as being the recipient, CCP won't do anything about it.
