Because Pakistan being the nuclear armed and powered country that it is also needed aid amirite? A disaster is a disaster, it doesn't matter if people can pay for it or not, help should be given when needed. An area twice the size of Texas is currently snake and crocodile infested swampland. I defy you to find any country in the world that can afford a cleanup of that scale atm.

Sadly the problem in Perth is bushfires. You'll need to pack that asbestos suit that you normally reserve for forum trolling :)
For those interested in the details of the flooding in Queensland, it's worth noting that the Wivenhoe Dam was finished in 1985, and was designed to provide drinking water and double as a flood mitigation dam. Thus it's "100% capacity" level is less than half the total holding capacity. The flood mitigation "compartment" of the dam is the several metres of dam wall above the maximum drinking water storage level.
In the meantime, those of us with relatives in Brisbane will be sleeping soundly knowing that our loved ones are relatively safe, since they'll be staying with friends in the higher suburbs, away from the maximum predicted flood levels.
No not trolling, although I wrote it in away that I can see you would think so.
I am actually going to Perth and I also have cousins there 1 on the east coast, 1 on the south coast and the rest in Perth.

Down under(water).
No seriously, if crappy countries that can't help themselves get charity money, why don't the countries that will actually appreciate it? ------

I myself live in Brisbane in Wynnum West. The suburb is on the eastern side of Brisbane and is situated on the outlet of the Brisbane river. The suburb adjacent to us that is directly on the edge of that outlet was flooded last night and the rising water hasn't stopped. These floods are stopping us from working which is stopping us from recieving money. Yes we have insurance on the house, but what about food and bills we need to pay for? The government doesn't help us with that. The peopleo of Queensland and now even northern New South Wales needs support however it can. We just simply cannot do this alone.
