........nubs were completely immune to unprovoked aggression for 14 days, or until they pay for a sub if sooner, in their home starter system?
The basic idea is to get them subscribed.......once they hit day 15 and paying, they are open season like everyone else.
And, of course, if they set foot outside their nub starter system, they become open season like everyone else.
I think it to be a brilliant marketing plan. Lull them into s false sense of security........

They are already protected in the starter systems by threats of banning any who harass them, so what exactly would be the point of this change. You wouldn't actually improve their situation in a significant way and would just **** off/scare current players by implementing unnecessary hand holding/gameplay limitations.

PROTIP:
Anytime you come to the conclusion that YOU (or your ideas) are brilliant, you are already far off the track.
A designation of brilliance, in referring to a person's intellect, is ONLY valid when conveyed by another, and even then is subject to obvious biases. Since you use the word to describe a marketing scheme that you have come up with, this amounts to shameless self-promotion. It also assumes that you, and you alone (or first) have thought of this, when it is much more likely that the game developers have already considered your idea for themselves, implementing it in part, as it suits them and their idea of their game.
As I keep saying, for everyone who has these 'brilliant' ideas that no one has thought of before, if you don't like THIS game, go make your OWN game.
Oh, and stop thinking you are all that - you aren't.

Your brilliant marketing plan fails. They won't renew subscription after one month. False sense of security don't work, only real security.

So rather than them leaving after 14 days you want them to pay for 1 months sub then leave.

That's why it's a bad idea. They should rather be lulled into a false sense of insecurity, so that they learn to handle (with ease) what is actually a very high degree of safety and thus better deal with what risks there actually are. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

How about not luring anyone anywhere? Secure highsec, unsecure sov null (where you don't see a single hostile for weeks on end while inside the blue ass of some certain large alliance). Provide a place for everyone to do what they want, and they will all stay. As a for-profit company, if you take upon yourself to try to force costumers to use the product they paid for in a certain way, you will lose them and lose money. CCP should just accept the consequence of the choices they made. A scheme to have your cake and eat it too won't work. Whatever you came up, it's not as clever as you think it is.

Your idea? Not so brilliant.
But here's an actual brilliant idea:
Slap an almost entirely naked woman overtop any and all advertisements.
It may not be a unique idea, but it works. Every. Single. Time.
