Just like in r/l you screwup one to many times you can find yourself on the wrong side of the gorilla cage looking out. Something simular would nice to see in EvE, especially since it mimics r/l. However spending time in jail for years on end would kinda wreck the game, but when you are criminally flagged by cord. If you can either stay in space and risk your ship or dock and wait for the agro to end. Here is where the idea for a jail should come in. If you dock, you see the inside of a jail cell until the agro ends. In jail, all your skill training stops and you can do nothing but take a tin cup and slide it back and forth across the bars. If you decide to log, that would be fine, however when you come back you continue your time in jail until the agro ends. In otherwords the agro timer would pause until 20 min of logged in time was completed. Remember society must always punish its criminals. There can also be an optional fine where the imposed fine would go to the victims wallet. The victim sets the fine ammount.

So, you want a loss in skill training for the criminal and reimbursement for the victim after a suicide gank? |

Edited by: Mr Cleann on 11/01/2011 15:57:29 Point taken. put a cap on the fine not to exceed 50 to 75 percent of the lost ship. Perhaps the skill loss time is a little overboard. But if you are going to sit in the station to wait out the agro then some form of alternative reimburtment opportunity should take place. Option a can be a fine. Option b can be forfieture of the ship you used to pod or kill your victim or a loss in skill training time. This could be a viable option if you dont want to stay outside the station and take your lashings or give more lashings lol.

Why would anybody *ever* dock? Any half way competent pirate would just cycle between safe spots or cloak.
We already have to put up with 15 minutes of aggression timer where we're constantly battered by gate guns. We have to put up with being red so we're *always* a target. Now you think it would be a smart idea to lock us up in station and make us pay money towards our victims and stop our skill training? The whole point of low sec is that it is "semi-lawless" space. This is why if we jump into high sec we get Concorded but if we stay in low sec we just have to put up with some punitive measures.
I'm hoping this is a troll designed specifically to annoy pirates....if so, well done, it almost worked. If not it's the dumbest idea I've heard since Mrs. Kennedy said "Darling, don't you think it's just the day for an open top car ride?".
