Holy crap! Akita T is a pilot of my language!
I just noticed when trying to figure out wich of these three characters is a forum posting alt or a main. Akita seems to be the forum posting alt, or at least has a non-pvp related occupation in-game.
Research shows Liang Nuren is a main char, or at least an active alt (i'm a genius, I found out the player himself said so!)
Tippia seems to no longer be active in the PVP scene. Again, might have something to do with just having another occupation in-game.
And this was done with 5 minutes of battleclinic and music
Just had to get that out of the system. Or we can just ask the three capsuleers about their whereabouts ;).

Ce, nu știai ? Baia Mare FTW. My nationality is clearly stated in the bio ![Wink](/images/icon_wink.gif) Akita T is my main, but I use almost exclusively lower-SP alts for PvP. iClone tells me that Liang has 64M SP right now. She's a great character, able to fly almost anything proficiently. I've been on a Perc/Wil respec with her for a bit over a year now and I've managed to make a huge dent into her previously nonexistent missile skills. She's got ~7M SP in missiles now and is training T2 Torps/Cruise to finish off "All T2 weapons". (On other alts, I've had all this for a long time - Liang is just a great cross trained subcap pilot).
But for all that, I dislike flying her. I feel like every time I fly with her, I have to prove that I'm good at PVP. I can't afford to make a mistake or have a crappy fit, because it will derail a forum conversation into some ridiculous thing I did while drunk out of my mind or just playin' teh gamez. T1 Cruiser night? Take an alt. Drunk again? Take an alt. Engaging 5v20? Take an alt. Pretty much anything... take an alt.
Most of my in game friends don't even know me as Liang... and haven't for years. To me, Liang is best described as my "Forum Main". Makes me sad too, and makes me appreciate the wisdom of having forum alts.

I dumped it into Electronics and shield tanking so Liang's Tengu wouldn't suck so bad. Been an armor tanking gallente/amarr/minmatar for so long that my shield skills were ****. I'll fix that when I get off my perc/wil bender.

Not everyone is into flying capitals. Especially the ones you KNOW are going to get blown up.(Siege module,i'm looking at you).
This goes similarly for battleships.I feel that the core philosophy of having a smaller, more agile ship goes very well with the subtlety needed to make a living in lawless space.
After all, how much different are the capsuleers in lore from downright pirates, like the guristas? Just because Concord 'sanctions' your sov... And for someone who knows his history, REAL pirates used small and nimble ships. Kind of like the Interceptor. This also works for smugglers.
I'll never fly an asteroid with engines unless my corp/alliance buys me the char to do so.

Carriers are fantastic for logistics work - both on and off the battlefield. I may use my carrier to move my **** around most of the time, but I've taken it into PVP more than once. Even wrecklessly so. :)
I think you'll find that most pirate corps in Eve have a few cap pilots in corp. :)

Got most of that covered way before finishing sub-battleship cross-training ![Razz](/images/icon_razz.gif) Except some stuff I wouldn't really bother with anyway, and some stuff I'd need only a 3 day training for, I can build just about everything. Also, perfect refine skills (at least in typical empire stations) and so on and so forth. I can even fly a Hulk, but never purchased any Exhumers. My largest mining vessel (which has not been boarded in years) is not even a Covetor, but a Retriever.
P.S. Funny enough, I haven't manufactured anything in quite a while. Too much work for lazy old me. Trading remotely in 6-jumps-away Jita is less login-time demanding and yields much better results. _

I think I'd agree that invention is too much work... but general manufacturing from a BPO is simply a matter of starting the job. :)

Yeah, but you have to semi-babysit 7 mineral buy orders and set up couriers to wherever you manufacture, or maybe alternatively have talks with some bulk suppliers to deliver the minerals directly to wherever you manufacture (because you don't want to manufacture in places like Jita, the manufacture lines are heavily clogged there), and you have to move the product back to the market and put up sell orders for it which you also have to semi-babysit, and so on and so forth. I have datacores in RP form worth well over 1 bil ISK, but I can't be bothered to go pick'em up, even if all agents are in highsec, because it's a ~80 jumps roundtrip ![Razz](/images/icon_razz.gif)
Point is, if it _feels_ like work (and those above do feel like work to me), then I won't have any of that of my own free will (not until I'm near-broke anyway), I try to avoid it as much as possible in RL too, let alone in a game ![Twisted Evil](/images/icon_twisted.gif)
Alternatively, you can just put up a buyorder you never adjust a good while before the patch (if enough hints exist) or just buy from sell orders directly just before the patch, wait, then put up a sell order you almost never bother changing either. Sure, the amount of effort is similar (or probably higher, since researching trends isn't exactly easy), but at least it doesn't feel like work to me... and that's ok as far as I'm concerned. That's the lazy rich life ![Laughing](/images/icon_lol.gif)

It takes far more effort to gank a freighter than most people are willing to put forth - especially in back water systems like I fly it through. Furthermore, I keep my freighter loot values pretty low by making trips to the (local) market hub every few days. Like I said - I normally only keep a few production slots going because I don't want to deal with paying a mining corp top ISK for 17 billion units of trit/month... and nor do I really want to haul it all from a market hub. I'll settle for my half bil units of trit/month. :)
