Edited by: Luscius Bruscheye on 22/01/2005 18:20:29 does one have to wait for a purchased time card to come in the mail or can you simply get the code online.
My 14 day trial expired about 6 hours ago and I've made up my mind. I'll join the eve hordes. I am looking to buy the highest volume lowest unit price time alotment I can. The credit card option, to my shock, looked like it could only be used for 30 day alotments at 19.95. Cross out the e-cash or whatever the hell the middle option is. then theres the time cards which seem to only be availabe online with a credit card. Those seem like the best way to go if i want to pay the least per month. i just want to know if it will give me a time code immediately or i have to wait for the thing to come in the mail.

Time codes are unstable (people used stolen CC details to get them) and thus they're not being sent out anymore, 'till the security is improved (as per Hellmar's post somewhere).
The best thing to do if you want to ply immediately, I think, is to take a 6 month subscription. It's cheaper on a per-month basis then paying per month. If you choose gametime cards, then you'll need to wait till they arrive in the post.
I'll look for Hellmar's statement on Time codes.
<edit> And here it is
Originally by: Hellmar ETC code purchases have temporarily been disabled while we improve our credit card fraud prevention methods. Certain individuals were using stolen credit card numbers to purchase ETC. We are hoping to open up again after the weekend with the addition of Credit Card Security Code, which provides some assurance that the physical card is in the possession of the buyer.
Note the stolen card numbers in question were in no way related to EVE, they were acquired through some other means. The change we are doing with regards to CSC also has no effect on the security of your credit cards, they have been and will be 110% secure.

It's on page 2 or 3. He basicaly said that the only purchase of codes directly would be back once they've added some new Credit Card security features. I just hope it's soon, as I depend on those codes as well.

Edited by: Luscius Bruscheye on 22/01/2005 18:17:04 from my account to > extend trial account option/icon located on the right side there are 3 options to choose from
pay by credit card, pay by cash [paybycash.com] and time codes
Pay by cash is more expensive, time codes are no longer being sold so that leaves me with

Your credit card gets charged $$19.95 for the account and the first month of game time. There after the subscription amount is automatically charged monthly. Your account gets activated immediatly.
I'm guessing this means I have to pay this 19.95 number for a subscription and from there can pay a lower rate for more months but at this particular page there is absolutely no information regarding longer subsciption times for lower monthlies so I'd just like to get some confirmation.

I believe that after you select that thing for the credit card, you select 6 months in the rebill option. - -
