After getting the latest patch as suggested in General Thread and running it I get a error with 2 files that fail the CRC:
Examining File : /Contents/Frameworks/Awesomium.framework/Awesomium -> SHA1 Error Examining File : /Contents/Frameworks/Awesomium.framework/Versions/1.0/Awesomium -> SHA1 Error
Update via EVE also fails. No comment...

Same problem through in-client update.
However, if you downloaded the most recent SiSi client, run it and accept the client update. Then modify it to connect to TQ, and it looks like it will work (TQ not accepting connections right now though).

I'm getting the same error. Thanks for the suggestion about using the SiSi client; if CCP haven't offered a fixed patch by the time the servers are back up, I might try that route. |

I have downloaded the update via Eve. After the "checking patch status" bar, I got this message:
"The update was downloaded but it failed verification indicating that the file is corrupt. Would you like to download the file again?
You will not be able to enter the game until you download the update."
I have now downloaded the update twice (via a high-speed cable connection), but I still get the message. Is this a common problem?

Same issues here. Downloaded patch through the game twice and it failed while verifying the patch. Downloaded patch manually, ran it twice, and got the message, "Some files were modified. Please re-install." Examining the log files shows the same error message as above in red:
Examining File : /Contents/Frameworks/Awesomium.framework/Awesomium -> SHA1 Error Examining File : /Contents/Frameworks/Awesomium.framework/Versions/1.0/Awesomium -> SHA1 Error

Edited by: Tippia on 18/01/2011 15:48:10 Same issueā reposting from the GD thread:
Verified with multiple downloads and install across multiple computers and sites.
The 214371-to-221279 patch does not accept the files used in build 214371, even if they come from a fresh install. Apparent cause: the patch uses incorrect SHA1 checksums for- EVE Online.app/Contents/Frameworks/Awsomium.framework/Awsomium
- EVE Online.app/Contents/Frameworks/Awsomium.framework/Versions/1.0/Awsomium
Bug reported as #105554.
This holds true across several patch downloads using various circuitous routes to ensure it's not just my ISP, using a number of different installs, and (most importantly) using a fresh install of 214371. So yes, the client even rejects the full install due to those two files not being the ones the patch expects.
āalso, I'm not entirely surprised, since they couldn't get a TQ-to-Sisi patch working for the last few weeks' builds, and if they created the patch from that branch, they used a non-existing (or at least non-official) baseline for some of their files. |

I will wait for CCP to update the checksum file on their site and use the repair too to fix the client. I can't DL another 1.5G, and 4G for full install is out of the question. Since I play this game there hasn't been single patch that would go smooth...without issues... |

This is the first time it has ever done something like this for me, so while I'm usually quite quick to go for the "maybe your ISP" card, my ISP has not done anything like this before over the last three years, and the error is so specific (and specific for so many people) that I strongly suspect that it is indeed the patch and not my download that is screwed up.
Of course, I've never used the autopatcher, and I've come to understand from both OSX and Windows user that this is a good choice. |

Sometimes I have teh feeling, CCP forgot about this part of the forums in hope that we will somehow vanish in thin air...or just stfu. |

If you dont want to wait for CCP to fix the patch you can work around the verification issues by changing the patch slightly, i've detailed how here: https://gist.github.com/f01a898912a1cb1f241b
Patch 1.1.0 will then successfully verify and patch the application, allowing access to Incursion! |

Patching via the work around now. After CCP fixes the repair too will check the eve client with it and will be fine.

You are not actually fixing the patch, just skipping the verification step on a broken patch and therefore ending up with a broken client most likely. The verification is there to guard users from bad uploads to our CDN like happened today.
I strongly recommend people don't do this, if you started downloading the patch after TQ opened for players chances are you are getting the one that works. ------------------ Tester, Scrum Master Quality Assurance

Do you plan on generating a new SHA1 file for the patch so we can just run the repair too and get those 2 files, and not the entire bundle?

Downloading the manual patch, and I'll try to edit the patch.plist & correct it with the actual SHA1 of Awesomium : <765691bd586303572f92be97e6ff9575ab9049a5>

CCP,
I downloaded the manual patch AFTER yourselves made it available. It doesn't work [2 x SHA1 errors etc]
Is there a "patch that works" without giving the 2 x SHA1 errors?
If there is, PLEASE point us to it. I don't want to waste another 1.5GB of bandwith etc.
Thank you.

Awesome! For a game with official Mac support that's only minimally ******ed.

i started my d/l about 15 min ago... works and is in the process of patching right now. will boot up shortly.
note: if you started your d/l before the server went live and paused it and came back, you are still d/ling the old file

Edited by: Chocra on 18/01/2011 17:55:16 Thanks for the info.
It's just such a shame no-one from CCP can be bothered to post anywhere 'findable' that the now available patch works - edit - the patch runs successfully - , and I've been following this problem on the 5 threads that seem to be covering it.

I got a SHA1 error but not on the Awesomium file: Examining File : /Contents/Frameworks/wineserver -> SHA1 Error
Anyone know a way to fix that? Should I just wait for the checksums on the repair tool to update?

Confirming - full client download works for me, and does not have the preference file problem that the repointed SiSi client did.

I downloaded and ran the new repair tool, and that solved the problem for me. I had to download the full 1.5 GB again, though, so use at your own risk if you're paying by the byte.

The original download was started at 16:14 eve time, and had the problem for me. Redownloading now but it's taking forever as the CCP CDN is fail (no, it's not my connection, it's their CDN as I'm downloading from a link with 100Mb/s straight into a national IXP and getting 650kB/s). - Firstly, planet VI in FD-MLJ will be nuked from orbit (after all, it is the only way to be sure) and all existing infrastructure will be gone. -- CCP Nimbus |

I had exactly this error SHA1 during the last patch and suspected a program called 'clean my mac' which i think takes out certain language files on the client to save hd space.
Failed verification etc and had to download the whole client then it worked.
After this i didnt use that program until this patch just to check my theory and everything updated fine.
Just wondering could these clean up programs be causing a problem with eve?

Meh, you say that, but it all seems fine, all works and I'm happy. Nice one Elikia, at least I was able to play almost as soon as Windows users. Awesome Mac support from CCP... not.
