The power you've seen so far pales in comparison to the oncoming storm.
I therefore recommend everyone to bring an umbrella. Maybe some rain boots. A jacket too - it could get a little cold.

Sansha's Nation forces have been detected in the Seyllin system. I hope someone has solved that cipher by now!

Edited by: Caspardian on 18/01/2011 22:26:38 As a pilot of the Gallente Federation and as a native of the Minmatar Republic, I will be more than happy to assist to repelling incursions that trespass on the territory of either of those two factions. However, it should be noted that the capsuleer community, as a whole, will need to be properly coordinated to properly defend against the threat.
It is my suggestion that anti-Nation pilots join channels such as "SYNEPublic" and mailing lists such as "FCORD" to receive additional information and orders having to do with Sansha attacks.
Both of those information sources are (as far as I know) public, and available to any who are not known Sansha sympathizers. - - - - - - And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust...

News from the front.
We weren't able to stop the Sansha. Without capital support, there's no way could take down that supercarrier. Lieutenant Taron, I'd recommend seeing if you can get some of the Fleet's eggheads to figure out what Sansha would want with a core fragment from Seyllin. That's what Slave Heavenbound02 was after, and Sansha isn't stupid enough to tip his hand about the new capitals he has unless it was something he had to secure at all costs.

Seyllin was also the place of the Seyllin Conference (14th-15th of August 113), where strategies to engage hostile Nation forces were discussed. Nothing noteworthy though... Oh wait! Now I remember: I killed a Gallente industrial en route back to Khanid.

Cutting two lines can turn make four small parts of one big shape. In the eyes of megalomania it could be a comparison of one big Nataion and four small Empires.

I would like to request a brief After-Action Report for those who were unable to make it to Seyllin in time. From what I can gather, the defence was...unsuccessful, but I know that I for one would like a few more details of what was fielded by the Sansha and what they did.

It went poorly. It's safe to say we under-estimated Sansha technology. All I can tell you is that drones and frigates were like spitting into the wind, and were wiped out by multiple high energy bursts.
Damn it, there's too may wrecks floating around the planet now...too many...

The carrier left after firing some kind of weapon at the planet. A number of sub-capital Sansha ships jumped through to cover the escape, and they are now gone as well. There is nothing but a field of wrecks being picked over by pirates now. Apparently the Nation was successful today.
All I know is, I yoinked a lot of t2 loot today.

Cut us twice and we are? That tells me that they say they're forces are superior four fold. Cut Thier forces twice, that makes four fourths...and then they're fourth is equal to our whole... ...I hope I'm wrong.

If you cut twice, equally, what once was one becomes four. I beleieve the quote is in reference to the fact that Nation is inherherntly unified, whereas the empires are bickering and disunified and constitute four major blocs.
Interesting, it echoes of the Macapar Prophecy [spelling?] to me...

I can't fault your logic, and it's only going to get worse unless we pull together. Every battle we lose means another planet claimed by the Sansha.

There's an old saying I read in a few of the Amarrian history libraries near New Eve:
"Dewey Beats Truman"
Means that you would be wiser not to declare victory before the primary battle has ended.

EDIT: and have been particularly disunified since factional warfare broke out. They had the potential for true, flexible, non-monolithic unity in the now-passed "Golden Age" where CONCORD constituted (part of) the binding agent between the empires.
Interesting, it echoes of the Macapar Prophecy [spelling?] to me...
Well, that took a lot fewer iterations than I expected. I too was thinking of Macaper, as I always do when major events occur. I was hoping to get some brainstorming going before broaching the subject, as opening up about Macaper right off the bat, tends to have one regarded as insane.
But yes... "What was many now becomes one, when one becomes four." Many individuals blended together into one, to create Sansha's insta-capsuleers. One species, humanity, divided into four...
Interesting times.

Captain Taron,
I'm curious to know how you recieved your information. Since you made it general knowledge that your people found a way to get solid intel on the Nation, I'm sure Nation is currently changing their systems. I doubt you'll get into any more trouble. And you might just give one of a key to gaining more intel for the next time.

Originally by: Jenlura Taron It reads as follows:
"We are not equal; cut us twice and we are."
the problem here as i see it is very simple... this is FAR too vague to actually have a direct numerical answer...
1 object cut twice = 4 objects... but, if we use that as the basis, it could be
1,4 3,12 5,20 7,28
etc etc, all of these make sense, and fit the clue.
in my mind, this means it isn't a numerical value we are looking for, more likely some reference to obscure lore, pertaining somehow to nation or the empires.
Considering that Kuvakei has shown on more than one occasion his belief that he is far better than the denizens of the empires, and that he thinks us to be fools, perhaps it is something obvious.
though it may be FAR too obvious, perhaps Unity, or Nation are the correct response to this code...
not that i believe for a moment that nation is a force for good. i have seen what Kuvakei is capable of.
For Intaki.

I suspect the riddle is deceptively simple. "Equal" to me suggests mathematics; "cut" suggests something visual, as opposed to "divide." For example:
88 3333
These numbers are not "equal" in value, but if you "cut" the two 8's straight down the middle, you're visually left with four 3's, giving you equal values.
I'm guessing we're overthinking the problem, and the actual riddle and answer itself should seem obvious when we're done.
