i am Khanid and i didn't have a hood when the portrait was selected.At character selection screen i don't have it, but in game i do...and the face is slightly different.It's not exactly what i wanted...dunno if worth a petition though.

I like that the amarr faces actually have "expression". However they do look like they are a lot older than the space punks from the gallente federation...
I am personally also horrified with the Jin-Mei looks and would love to be able to pick a different race/bloodline. I think CCP should have allowed us to change race as this patch changes a lot. It used to be a small portrait that didn't really stand out too much. Besides like many others here, I wasn't horrified by the old portrait as I am by the new looks...
If I could I would probably swap to an Amarr though, I like the definition they have... most other races look like space punks who just got their license. So I just went with that in my current char
