I made a post on this form a while back and was offered a position in GoonWaffe if I placed a 500m deposit. I realize I was nieve and stupid, but for some reason I found it hard to believe that a member of a corp that is not supposed to engage in scamming would approach me. I was wrong.
It seems that this corporation does not condemn scamming, because the money that I gave went to an office belonging to GoonWaffe. At the very least the member of this corporation that set up the scam (Manbeef Largeyams) was using corp property to execute it.
I would advise everyone to beware of this corporation, and definitely don't give out money to them.

One of the staples of EVE is people like you, from time to time, posting here about how they got scammed out of 500 million. This is EVE lore now. It is expected behavior.
The fact that you post here does not mean that the Goons are going to mend their ways. Your posting here gives the Goons the prize to dwarf all prizes, you are their very reason for being. You give them what they crave more than aught else in this universe: carebear tears. N00b tears to Goonswarm are like the very zest of life, it is the nurturing balm that stills the callouses of their souls.
You paid the standard 500 million ISK tax for being a n00b. Nobody is going to cry for you, there will be no justice.
To any other newbies reading this:
1) Goonswarm does not recruit in the game.
2) There is a very finely tuned instrument, a sure fire way to know whether or not a Goonswarm member is trying to scam you: they're interacting with you in any way shape or form. That's your giveaway.
You were sent out asking for the key to the exercise yard, Kirbana, you were initiated in the grand old tradition. Stop complaining, pick yourself up and carry on.

First, this is a common scam the Goons pull.
Second, I underlined and bolded the assumption you made which hurt you. There is no corp nor alliance that has a firm policy on scamming. Their policy will always break when the price is right.

if I were to meet a goonswarm person and since I would know if I am blue or not to them and I know I'm not
I would either try to kill him or run and dock or cloak
Goonswarm does not 'play' this game for what normal people would call fun
they 'play' to shoot people and will go to any length to achieve this
also, they only recruit though the SA forums to try and eliminate the absolute scourge of this game, spiez and spiez alts. If you were to enroll in the SA forums, THEY KNOW WHO YOU ARE IN RL!!! that and they can just permaban you from their forums.
this is one of the few surefire ways to actually keep them out...
on that topic THERE ISN'T ENOUGH RISK IN THIS GAME!!!!

Usually I don't respond to when someone gets scammed by Goonfleet. But the existence of that scamming site gsauth is something new and interesting.
Apparently Goonfleet has institutionalized recruitment scamming, even to the point that there is a corp that scammees are told to send money too, and get authenticated via API calls which poll the scam corp's wallet. The money even goes to the corp and (Presumably) is sent to the scammer by a teller of some kind. I'm also assuming that the scammee is given an authentication number to check on his or her 'application' status.
This is crazy to me, I've never seen anything like it outside of Eve Banking.
