Edited by: Star Wolf on 19/01/2011 03:55:15 Why does CCP force us to change our face. It shouldn't be forced. I've had my face since 2003 and I believe a part of eve history has been lost. Any one else agree?

A lot of people agree.
4 People quit the Corporation I joined just today upon finding out that they lost their Avatars.
I can't tell you how angry I am about it.
Yes, a lot of people agree.

I was hoping that we would at least start with our original face and be able to upgrade or morph it. I agree with you that it was unnecessary as these toons become part of us and it is discomforting to see them go.

I'd have liked to have realized I needed to take a screenshot of my characters.

Edited by: Grath Telkin on 19/01/2011 04:01:17 If you quit because the picture of your avatar changed, who you have absolutely no interaction or contact with other than that little window at the top corner of your screen...well, i guess you weren't really that interested in EVE to begin with.
EDIT: Do none of you read the Devblogs? There's a whole database of your saved pictures thats been created, just for people like you all.

You haven't lost anything, all the old pictures are being archived.
Some whiny malcontents might their picture created in a engine that is fast approaching a decade old, but technology is moving onwards and upwards. Adapt or die (read: unsubscribe)

Absolutely.
...And I'm thrilled. The laughable character generation/non-customization of yore can rot in the ground alongside the Punisher model with wingtips that didn't attach to anything and pre-queue NPC station labslots.

Then its a great way to weed out corp mates who never had their heart in the corp in the first place. I say, like all change, there are those against it, and those that get over it.
I kinda like it acutally. I'm super sexy!
