I have been wondering about a few things now that I have spent about five hours with the game. I was hoping somebody could answer some questions I was wondering about...
1: If I die and my capsule gets shot down do I lose all the money in my wallet too? If so Is there a way to make my funds safe?
2: Speaking of death, how do clones work? Is that just a one time thing? Do I need to buy a new clone every time I die?
3: I am a bit confused about jump clones. How do I go about creating one?
4: Correct me if I am wrong, but if you pay for the subscription it is converted into two plex, correct? And if I'm not mistaken you can sell that in-game. If I decided to pay for my subscription with plex, could I keep one and sell the other? What is the going rate for one unit of plex?

Welcome to the game, Kintor!
1: No. Your money will always be safe in your wallet. Remember: Don't fly what you can't afford to loose!
2: Clones store a preset amount of skill points. If you die this clone will be activated. If your current skill points are lower than the clones cap, everything is okay. If your skill points are higher, you will loose some. Everytime you get 'podded' you should buy a new clone!
3: When you die, you wake up in your clone. Jump clones provide the ability to leave your current body and wake up in a jump clone across the universe in an instant (only available every 24 hours!). But your need a lot of standing to install jump clones
4: You are wrong. If you pay your subscription, you will get the game time. If you buy Game-Time-Cards (GTCs) from retailers or CCP you can either add 60 days of game time or convert them into two PLEXes. Once converted you can either sell (or buy) them on the market and redeeem them from anywhere in the galaxy to add another 30 days of game time

When you die, you wake up in a clone. Since it never happened to me I'm not sure if you have to buy/setup a news one eversy time that happens.

You need a very high standing with the corp of the station where you want to create one. Jumpclones permit you to operate in various distant regions without traveling there by ship. You simple switch bodies.

Not that I kown. You can select different ways of payment. Bank-account, Credit-card or Pex/Timecodes. You can set that up in your preferences. If you buy a 60-days timecode you can transform that into 2 x 30 days plex. You can use the for your own gameplay or sell them. The actual market-prices for timecodes are 650-700 mill ISK. A plex is about half that price.

Edited by: gfldex on 20/01/2011 12:16:10 3) You or your (nonNPC) corp need a stSnding of 8.0 with the station holding corp (both NPC and player run). Or you have a willing corp mate with a rorqual or titan.

2. Above 900K skill points you will need to upgrade your medical backup clone each time you get podded. If you forget and get podded you will lose skill points and many tears are shed.
3. You can get jump clones for the NPC price (100K) without standings by joining EACS corp (as they have uberstandings with everyone and are generally awesome).
