Mission is to kill the merc.
reward: 270K ish
bonus if finished in 40 minutes: another 270K ish
no LP
I figured it'd be quick, but I did 3 rooms, with approx 5-10 BS and a ton of smaller ships in each one, with 3rd room spawning at least 3 waves.
I stopped for the night, cuz I had work in the am, and figured I'd do it the next day.
but something seems wrong with the low reward or did I miss something or did CCP make a mistake?
Anyone would did this mission and could let me know whats up, it'd be great.

New missions always start out with low rewards... It'll correct itself as people complete more of them....

Kerfira is correct. The mission system uses an algorithm that is constantly changing rewards to ensure that it has the proper payout. CCP doesn't actuially have a big list of rewards, the system self balances.
Give it a few weeks/month and see how the payout changes.

annoying missions...I looked in one of those amarr wrecks and it just had a metal scrap so I thought the key for the gate must have been in one of the minmatar ships. Spent ages zoom around loot all the wreck then checked all the amarr wreck...finally found the key.
Some nice tags though so I guess kind of worth loot this one.

Finished it last night.
I think the acceleration gate key might be in the orginal wrecks if you kill everything first.
The first time I did that part I went around and searched all the wrecks and it wasn't there and it was in the wreck of the last thing I killed, but the second time I did it, I killed everything first and searched them, and it was in the orginal wrecks.
I still hope I dont get that one again until the reward is fixed.

If its a storyline mission (as you mentioned in the thread title) you don't get LP reward. However a long kill mission should give a bigger bonus to your faction standing.
Also there have already been about 10 threads about the low rewards for the new missions, how are people not figuring this out

When I posted I was looking for advice.
Not just complaining.
I thought that the mission reward may have been low because its simpiler than I thought and I missed something.
Thanks for the correction about no LP for storylines though.

I just got the mission and the reward is 2.79 million and the Bonus is 2.10 Million, you were just reading wrong. Glad to here there are lots of targets, this should be a great standing boost. Hooah!

Has anyone see a thorough mission guide for this (The Mouthy Merc)? I haven't be able to find any info on the helpful sites I usually visit?
