Hm, since a time Im searching for the med hybrid weapon drops (gauss and prototype)...but no idea where I could find them...by the way, I havent got any good drops at all, so how can that be? (are drops depending on Charisma or somehing, or just on the difficulty of the enemy?
Has someone any tips?

I'd like to know too - I can find plenty of compressed coils, but no Gauss at all :(

250proto's come from the same rats as 250coils, only 20 times as rare. Try the 50k ones, you may have more luck from them.

Caldari pirates drop them. Guristas and stuff.
I think they are the best guns in the game. With my current skill set, my Optimal range is 30K. I only have 2. I think I'm gonna have to make another long trek to get more ;)
BTW.. They fly Moa's.

Just seen these drop from Ascribers. The nullifiers and annihilators appear to only drop (or mostly) "lazers"

Yes Ascribers are ure best bet for 250mm prototypes. 1/20 ascribers drop em id say.

Are the 250 Gauss better then coils? And which is the best med hybrid, Gauss or Prototype?
Which region has Caldari pirates (I assume its one of the 0.0 filled regions near Caldari space)? Thanks.

the full name is:
250mm Prototype Gauss
Prototype and Gauss are the same thing. They are the best Hybrid guns in game.
My current Optimal Range with them is over 30K. That's better then Projectyles.
