Currently running amarr level 3 missions for faction and came across this mission I have never seen before. EVE-survival doesn't list it and a google search turns up nothing. I thought only storylines were new missions in this expansion.
Pick Your Poison. Level 3 Warp to 1st room, 1 gate and a sisters of EVE ship 50kms away. Gate is restricted to frig sized ships (T1, EWAR, shuttle, noob), destroyer/interdictor and T1 cruisers. Activate the gate, appear in a second pocket and brought a Gila expecting trouble as there is no indication who you are going up against. Nothing there but a broken station graphic and 2 cargo constainers marked Minmatar or Amarr Emissary Quarters both are about 32 KMs apart. Fly to one, as you only have time to save one. three seconds later after picking up one of them (maybe 2 people can grab both emissaries if they are fast enough), everything blows up (you take no damage) and you have to trundle back to a warp gate that takes you back to first room. As soon as you appear, a racial fleet consisting of 1 BS, couple cruisers, and 4 frigs (amarr in this case) proclaim they are going to get thier revenge and start firing on you as you head to the SOE ship. Open cargo, drop in, mission ends. No bounties on the amarr ships, do able in a T1 frig fitted for speed.
I don't see any negitive faction hits after 10 minutes.
Is this a new mission or seem familar to anyone?

Skip it.

I can't seem to find any standing los/increase after doing this mission. But I killed off the spawns in my Caracal (was a bit hard before killing off the frigs and cruisers) and safely returened the Amarr Diplomats.

Just ran the mission in a Caracal: Arbs w/bloodclaws, 2xLSE, MagAmp, HeatAmp, 2xBCX (all T2), 3xPurger rigs. Mission went as mentioned. Battleships do die to light missiles...just takes about 20 minutes. Got my paper read. As I saved the Minmatar, the Amarrs attached me. Salvage had about $1M in armor plates an $2M in tags. Confirmed no standing loss with Amarr. |

I got that mission as well but ignored it since it's limiting to small ships and I was too lazy to go get one. ...gis sdrawkcaB |

AF is the way to go. With an Ishkur, no highs, MWD 2 cap batteries, 2 hardners and a small armor rep I did this with ease. The armor rep isn't really needed once you get up to speed but the first few seconds after jumping in can be hairy.
Hope this helps anyone else feeling hopeless trying to do this with a cruiser =)

I'm Minmatar and as a matter of policy I never go against the other factions. So I do the mission in a probe fitted with a microwarp drive. At 2000 m/s the Amarrian ships never even scratch my shield. Deliver the diplomats in the SOE ship and warp out. No standings hit from Amarr.

Piece of cake. Condor w/ a T1 MWD and nothing else. Gate in and pick a destination to warp out to. Head for the second room, pick up your choice of diplomat, head for the exit gate. Hang around until your capacitor tops up, Gate back to the first room. Hit your MWD and head for the drop of location as fast as you can. Drop the cargo and jump out to that aligned destination you picked earlier. Easy half mil. |

I just discovered that you can go in and grab the diplomat you want in a small ship, warp to a nearby station that you have a BC or some such at. Transfer the diplomat into your big ship's cargo, and go back and finish. I went in with a microwarpdrive condor, and got popped just as i was about to deposit the diplomat. But since the spawns come out outside the acceleration gate, you can use any ship you want once you get the diplomat out.

Just tried to do this mission in a Hound.
Picked up Minmatar Emissary, everything blow up so I headed back to the drop off point. This is where it all went pear shaped, I was jumped by an Amarr task force. I thought about out running them which on paper would have been straight forward, but I had no control of my speed or afterburners, the inevitable happened and I was left sitting in my pod. Only now my pod is a bright globe in the middle of my screen followed a few seconds latter by eve-online equivalent of the BSOD ie connection lost.
I not sure if this was a bug or just a coincidence.... I hate losing ships when its not my fault and the insurance is not much of a help, but I love the game and will keep playing.

Coincidence. Just use a shuttle next time.

Edited by: Rykuss on 05/03/2011 23:25:35 The mission is listed on the main mission reports page on eve survival. My main sits at the acceleration gate in a myrm while my alt goes in with an incursus fitted with a mwd. As soon as he grabs the diplomats, everything aggros my myrm leaving my alt free to drop off the diplomats and complete the mission. Easiest way I've found to do it.

You missed the point, it would not have mattered what I was flying I could not fly away, target the ship or anything else... my client crashed just at the wrong time!

I just tried this mission in a shuttle. I did not get halfway to the SOE rescue vessel before getting shot up. Lost the cargo and failed the mission.

it's new mission, that's how i made it. first time i tried in catalyst with mwd (after reading this topic), i got my ship lost, but was lucky to drop diplomat in my wreck. so i bought atron with such fit: 1*ab, 2*overdrive and 1*shield hardener (invulnerability field), returned and made it in 2 steps: 1 - warp to wreck, pick up diplomat, dock to station, get repair bill 2 - another warp, approach eve ship and get out from here

That's not how you speed tank. Dessie is big, mwd makes it so much bigger. Any frig with an ab will do, no need for any form of tank other than sig, or just use a shuttle, slightly slower, no warp, no repair.

Bleh - mission is easy enough, but the mission mechanics are broken for those people who have friends and can rescue both ambassadors. Mission designers need to think beyond solo play.

Old post I know, but just confirming that this can be done in a Condor.
Setup: 1 x Condor, 1 x AB
With my skills I was reaching 1 km/s with AB, dashing to the SOE rescue pod. Nice laser show, but nothing scratched me. Easy as pie.

interesting. didnt know of that. but is it worth it? after-all there is no faction loss if you dont shoot anyone and mission is over in a minute.
best ships in my book for that one: dram or inties with mwd.

Edited by: Maz Arlanne on 15/05/2011 21:36:43 Went in with a Moa, picked up the Minmatar diplomat, got attacked by the Amarr fleet, took some damage, warped out, transferred the diplomat to a drake, warped back, dropped off the diplomat with the sisters of Eve and killed the Amarr fairly easily. Job done.

Armour-tanked AF Picked up Minmatar Diplo - accel-gate back to SOE ship Aggro on arrival by Amarr ships - AB towards SOE ship (orbit @ 1km) Shields dropped to maybe 80% full <2.5km from SOE ship - drop diplo into it Warp out
No Faction Standing loss if you don't kill any of the Faction Ships.

This was a trick mission to say the least... I tried it in a MOA and lost about 80% shields and had to warpout.... I did get the diplomat though and went for my Drake.. Of couse when you return your actually past the first gate and you can see the Sisters ship traingle so its not a problem useing a big ship at this point.... used my mini warp drive and of course the Drake's tank had NP with all if the crap that came at me. I got to the ship and dropped my cargo and warped out of there... This is a very different type of mission then what I've come across before.
Blaze Out....
