Im interested in NPC pirates stats.
Is there a website out there that details Pirate types, where found, what they carry (loot and modules/weapons) and in what security sectors the said pirates are?
I want to take on some pirates, but dont fancy loosing my cruiser no. 4 as I dont have warp stablisers...
Thanks in advance, im sure there must be such a site surely?

Pirate spawn is pretty much based on what roid fields there are.
Any empire space pirates will be easy to kill in a cruiser, unless it is completely lamely equipped with items like a civ shield booster and 5 mining lasers.
In non-empire space, you simply cannot tell, mostly the close sectors will spawn anything from 2 10K pirates to 4 8K pirates and a 30K cruiser or 5 10K pirates and 1 20K cruisers etc etc.
Warp to a roid field, immediatly double click away from the roid field. Check for pirates if none, take a look at the roids, if they have gneiss and above there is a good chance that cruisers will spawn.
TBH you should have no problems anywhere in Empire space with a cruiser, if you do then I suggest you fly frigates until you learn how to combat properly, it will be cheaper for you :P
