I'm sure I wasn't the only one with this problem before Incursion 1.1 but even after the patch I find that I have to delete my preferences folder to log into the game. This is particularly annoying because I really don't think I should be rearranging my UI and logging back into my channels every time I want to play the game.

I agree.It's especially annoying to have to redo my overview settings,as those took me a long time to make.

You're doing it wrong.
You may have to clear all cahce files/folders but not all preferences folder. Anyway overviews and fittings are the 2 easiest thing to save.
If you want to be sure to keep a backup, just rename the preference folder and relaunch eve, it will creat a brand new pref folder. Then you can just copy/past the overview folder from the backup pref folder to the new one. Same for fittings.
Finaly the only last thing I'm still looking for is how to save my People and places ingame folders... 900 bookmarks in game without folders is a pain to redo with every patch.

Or you just wanted us to know you're sad ?
