Planetary Vehicles = 25000
Supertensile Plastics = 6600 Mechanical Parts = 9800 miniature electronics = 10000
3 Planetary Vehicles = 10(Supertensile Plastics + Mechanical Parts + miniature electronics) 3 x 25000 = 10(6600 + 9800 + 10000) 75000 = 264000....... er?
planetary vehicles are selling at 25000 on the market, yet they cost 88000 to produce. My question, are people just crazy? or are we still dealing with massive surplus from before PI?

This is like the fourth thread on this very item saying virtually the same thing.

That's an understatement. Remember this item was stockpiled, and then the supply was sustained by mission drops for a long period of time. This item is still popping into regional buy orders from mission runners who log in and clear out their hangars, even now. Additionally there are people who unknowingly produce it and sell at a loss. Expect it to stay low for a long time. |

Sustained by mission drops? What kind of ****** are you? The tiny piles mission runners collect, if they're stupid enough to go loot/salvage missions, are ****ing tiny. |

There's a L4 mission that the Caldari give against the Gallente where you have to blow up a Rhoden shipyard. That structure, last time I checked, drops 1500 Planetary Vehicles when it's destroyed.
Somebody who's farming this mission for the tags would therefore have 7500 Planetary Vehicles at the end of the week.
In the EvE market that may be a "bleeping tiny" amount, but all those Planetary Vehicles drops quickly add up. |

As far as I understand they will be needed to manufacture Integrity Response Drones which in turn are needed for CONCORD capital modules.
Not sure if demand will be big enough though. Then again, the stockpiles must run dry at some point and I'm looking forward to seeing how this is going to affect the market prices.
Edit: Also I would expect drops in missions to be nerfed. Hardly any other PI materials drop in missions in such quantities. |

Edited by: Tasko Pal on 23/01/2011 15:26:36 There's also convoy drops. I shall inscribe a stele in Jita and it shall read:
Heaven has brought fourth numberless things for the nourishment of capsuleers.
Planetary vehicles aren't one of them.

You people saying it drops from missions missed the old threads about it. Mission drops have been removed: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1422703&page=1#29
Check the CCP posts in that link. Convoy drops removed too. That's why it spiked a while ago and now stockpiles are just slowly being eaten up. Nice, safe long-term buy. |

It's such a shame that disinformation has reared its ugly head in this thread. I'm shocked, shocked that you would make the totally erroneous claim that CCP has fixed all that stuff.

Two words: POS price.
Manipulating the PI market and temporary losing ISK doing so is perfectly sane if you earn more than you lose by selling the end product lateron, cheaper than others are able to.
