I love that Sansha's Nation is finally being brought into the spotlight for this expansion, but I have several concerns already.
First and foremost, I run Sansha Missions. Obviously this kills my ability to do pretty much any of the new content in this expansion. Well actually, I'm sort of cool with that. I don't want to shoot at Sansha's Nation after all -- they are my favorite faction.
However you have to understand that by running these missions, I've already killed my positive standing with half of empire. That's a pretty big price to pay just to run missions for some rewards that don't sell for very well compared to, say, angel ships. Still, I like the faction and the general area I run in, so it works.
A few concerns however.
1. As a loyal fighter for the Nation, will I never have access to the new Sansha tech that people would get from incursions themselves? Obvious example, the Sansha Supercarrier. I think putting it up for a ridiculous amount of LP would still be fair considering the effort that goes into getting it, wouldn't you agree?
2. You have mentioned that incursions will negatively affect people in an infested system. Ideally I would hope that I would actually get benefits, seeing as how I should be friendly to the Nation. I've heard this won't be the case, but at the very least I have to know this... The sansha are not dumb enough to launch an incursion in their own systems, are they? If I suffer mission runner penalties for HELPING them, it just gets silly don't you think?
Most people don't run Sansha missions so I expect to be a smaller voice, but regardless I hope this gets heard. |

I would like to see this too. I don't really like the idea for setting someone up to be "destined to lose" seeing as how it is a sandbox kinda game. Besides, its a little fresh from the usual Minmatar/Amarr/Gallente/Caldari factions we are forced to be apart of. I fully support the idea of allowing players to fully support Sansha's nation.

it makes sense yea but the last thing we need is fleets of players ganking sansha infested systems, as well as RR gangs repairing the already ungodly amazing sansha incursions that are still present from the other day

Sanshas are butchering the carebears. Red bar refills so fast and negates any temporary progress noob fleets make while getting a lot of ships popped. At this rate, all incursions will max out at 3 weeks, with all concord LP in them disappearing as result. The outcome is already predetermined, and you want to put yourself on the winning side for benefits. Not supported.

edit: ah I see, because you don't want to shoot them and ruin your standings to do missions for them. Tough luck...I want to be able to shoot people in low sec while being able to freely enter high sec with -10 sec status :D
and something you can do is fly logistics in incursion fleets, this way you help without actually having to apply dps and lose standings.

This is EVE, and implemented by CCP.
Do you really think they'll add special code making the life easier for a very small minority? I seriously doubt it.
Sorry, I guess as a Sansha supporter you'll be screwed. You got a new face and mandatory t-shirts at least.

You can buy the new sansha stuff off the market like anytihng else.
And until the Empires start "Incursions" into enemy space of their own I don't see your argument as valid.
Lets not forget here also that you are not Sansha. You may support them and run missions but you aren't a True Slave and therefore you are not exempt from the capsuleer interface dampening effects of the Sansha Incursion technology.

that is assuming that shooting at incursion npcs affects sansha faction standing. I think it is a reasonable assumption to assume it does, but in a ccp game assumptions are often wrong.

Its not actually becoming a slave, but allowing capsuleers to be loyalists outside of RP (I'm talking player loyalists, not actors). And the outspoken minority won't necessarily be the only ones who want it, I guarantee quite a few more (perhaps several times fold) would certainly like to see such a feature implemented.
Of course thats a guess, Hell if CCP added a feature for people to help Sansha (or at least loyalists not be targeted and granted immunity from Sansha attacks) would be fine.

from what I know of, the sansha LP store is kind of nice, but its incomplete. things missing that I know of. True sansha Heat sink True Sansha Tracking Computer shield equipment and a few other things
that being said, more capsuleers would join sansha and the sansha would be better off doing a few things offering more things in their loyalty store (capsuleers will mission for them more) and if they were smart and ****ing shield tanked their ships... with all those mid slots and such few low slots, what else are you going to do with them? use tracking disruptors on missile ships?
