Anyway, its hard for me to get a bead on Robotics because my system makes it so unmistakeably easy to produce Robotics and in high numbers. I mean for real I have it made in how easy it is. But its also due to the fact that my PI skills are very high. So in the past couple days, do you think the prices have gone up or down? The reason I ask is because people seem to say PI is hard now. But I can make Robotics in large large numbers easily because of my high skill. So basically it seems easy to me, and the price could feesibly (to me) have gone down. But people complain so the prices could have gone up. Where are they now?

Check the market history, and you will see the price.
It's always the same: - It's to cheap for a producer. - It's to expensive to the buyers.

I think it's 100% likely that you are either a) producing less than you could have under the old system but just don't know it or b) are not taking into account the price of the materials you put into making the robotics
It is harder to make robotics now than it was before, if you are finding it easier then you are making a mistake in your numbers somewhere.

No, I was making wetware mainframes before.

So your idea that it is really easy to make robotics is based on nothing other than how you perceive the value of what you produce now? I can assure you what you are producing now is less than you COULD have made before. So I'm happy that you are happy with your profits, but overall the supply is more limited than before. Don't worry though, as price rises you'll make more money off of these robotics anyway and the actual income level will increase to match the decreased supply :D

2 quick questions:
- what is the system sec you are you producing these goods in?
- is your production split out among multiple planets or from P0 -> robotics on one planet?

As far as I'm aware there are no planets which cover all 4 necessary P0 resources; Non-CS Crystals, Heavy Metals, Base Metals, and Noble Metals.
That being said, one could quite easily produce the crystals, heavy, and base into chiral structures metals, toxic, and reactive metals On a single Lava planet and move them over to a barren planet where they have the single extractor pulling in the precious and making noble metals, and spare CPU/power for the plants to turn it all into robotics.
It IS possible you are producing more than you did before, I've found this to be the case in 0.0 and WH space, but like Caldari said, more importantly is the cost of the materials you are putting into it. If you look at most of the market prices right now, Robotics is selling for less than the sum of all the components that go into it. You're better off NOT making robotics, increasing your P2 production, and selling that if you want to make more money.

This either means that robotics will go up in price or the component materials will go down in price. I tend to believe the last. |

Over the last couple of days ago someone liquidated 500k of robotics taking the price from 62k down to 58.5k, with the current supply the 500k has gone along with alot of other traders/producers undercutting that order and prices are back up. I think the 100k suggest by a few a month or so ago is a reasonable estimate of where they will be in the next month or so.

My last price check showed a 667 ISK profit per unit for Robotics.
Anyways, the real value of producing robotics is not in the increased profit from the materials used to produce it, but from the decreased volume of those products. Don't forget the logistics of bring the goods to market.
