Edited by: Seyluun on 26/01/2011 16:50:15 I'm a new player (1.5 month) and recently bought a Rattlesnake for l4, but i also wish to go wormhole running with some friends. For missions I use specifics hardeners with good results, but it's another thing entirely when i have to omni tank. So how would you go about getting good resists without spending too much (ie no single module costing more than 100M, unless the increase in performance is really, really worth it)? My rigs are 2 Large core defensive purger and a Large sentry damage augmentator, everything else can change. Thanks in advance.

Drones and how sleepers agro them will be your downfall in a Rattler. WH space is also 0.0 space and unless they have the WH completely under control you are risking a big investment. It could just be that the purpose of your life is to server as a warning to others. |

I know by experience than with 2 friends, the risk of having your drones aggroed goes down significantly, plus i use sentries so i can just return them to drone bay. As for the risk, it's for me to handle.

Drop the BCS for another SPR if you're going into class 3 radars, or class 4 or above. Bring RR too.

*COUGH* Clears throat. I'd advice you to use a BC for wh operations now. Those fits posted are good but you are on your own if you get jumped in a wh. You will have to work towards those fits cause 1.5 months isn't enough to get your support skills high enough for a BS. You'll fair better in a BC like myrmidon or drake. You can then jump into a rattler after some 3 months of training and about 1mil sp in both engineering, drones, and missile operation each.
Good luck.

^This!!! At 1.5 months I'm sure you do not have the skills to fully benefit from a BS. Especially one you have to crosstrain racial BS for. If I did my math right at 1.5 mil sp that barely puts you in the ship with all the sp being in spaceship command. Besides the support skills make all the difference, with tanking and damage. You will also need all T2 drones to make it worth a damn. Which is also a fair bit of training. My advice is train it fully then fly it.
A lot of ppl think because they can FLY it they should. But, FLYING it and USING it EFFECTIVELY are two totally different things.
