Hi apparently I have build 222391. The auto update patch doesn't work and tries to launch the repair tool, however nothing happens. When I tried manually installing the patch, the patch is listed at 16.9 mb however the downloaded file is much smaller and only takes half a second to download. I have a fast internet connection but I can't instant download 16.9mb! When running the patch manually, there's an error message that some installation files are corrupt too

Recent patches (at least two - three) have required full download to fix the game versus a working patch. At least they are consistent ;) Downloading 3.7GB yet again.

Hi, if you still encounter the issue, could you specify when you downloaded the patch? There were some issues at first, but that should be fixed now. Manually deleting the patch and re-downloading it should work. In win7 it is at c:\ProgramData\CCP\EVE\Downloads\

Yes, deleting and then restarting the auto-patching process has fixed it. Initiallly I tried to DL the patch as soon as it was available. Thanks

Game wouldn't patch so i tried the repair.exe got the same error everyone else got - error 404 host can't be found... Uninstalled eve. Downloaded the whole game and reinstalled fresh. Now the splash screen shows up and goes away and ExeFile.exe runs in the background allocating no more than 12768KB of ram and the game refuses to start.
Tried repair.exe again, that run through downloading a small file. Can't get it to work i don't know what the problem is.
I'm running a Core i7 system with Nvicida GTX 470 on a x58 mobo.

Hi, could you try deleting the common.ini file in your EVE game folder? The repair tool should then work.

After several attempts, rebooting and starting eve as administrator solved my problem, hope this helps others as well!
Now back to my improvised guacamole toast.

I'm getting this exact same error. I have a fresh install of Windows 7 so I don't have anything to delete. Tried both the online and offline installs, and neither will let me install Eve.

Edited by: Sonya Rayner on 29/01/2011 23:22:24 Had the same problem yesterday, the patch just didn't want to download (i.e. client has downloaded the patcher, then it launched and just stood there at "downloading patch" w/o any progress or network activity whatsoever). So i just went and downloaded a manual patch from eve patches and it worked wonderfully.
