Ok I'm going to put this as simple as possible.
1. I have a Vista
2. I start eve.
3. This pops up: A client update is available. Do you want to install now (recommended)?
- Incursion 1.1.2 Client Update.
4. I install.
5. I get this: The client update has been installed. The client will now restart.
Press 'OK' to continue.
6. When it comes back on I get part 3 again. Since it's optional I will skip it until the problem is fixed.

Patch broke EVE for me.
I get the Icursion splashsceen then it goes away and nothing.
Eveexecutbile is still running in Task Manager --> Process
Win 7 - Home
i7 Proc
8gig ram
Nvidia Graphics card.
Hope you can fix this as I am not the only one with this issue and to be honest, this has been a problem with most of your patches this year.

I am noticing an issue that I don't know if it is new to the client update patch or was there before:
You can no longer shift-drag a stack of stuff to the trade window and then enter the number of items you want to put there. You have to split the stack into a hangar or something first. When you shift-drag to trade window and release the mouse button, the stuff just goes back to wherever it came from.
I would file a bug report but you have a certificate mismatch error on the bugreport login screen and my browser vomits when it sees it.

Ok, CCP said that they solved problem with hood on amarr character. I don't think so. My char still have hood without wearing robe. And his face still look old (face changed). I didn't created this face. Render is wrong.

So I have a pretty complicated problem.
First some background info to see if it has anything to do with my problem. First I installed EVE on my laptop just fine but then I purchased another EVE account thru Steam and uninstalled the previous version and re-installed the Steam version but then I uninstalled Steam and went back to the regular Windows client. All of this was done after the first Incursion update but before the new character creator. I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop and it has an integrated Intel graphics card.
Now here's my problem after I installed the Windows client a second time, after I alt-tab or close the client the desktop looks weird. All the color is gone it looks like a negative of a film. Opening a new eve client and closing it before logging in fixes the issues until I alt-tab again or close another client after loading the logging screen.
I think there's something from the old Steam client messing this new clients loading but I am not sure. I've played around with all the graphics settings switching stuff on/off and changing values but the problem still persists, additionally sometimes text overlaps other text in a weird way that didn't use to happen before Incursion/Steam Client Install.

Hi I got three PC one run XP the laptop runs vista and my new pc runs windows 7
now normaly I just download the new patches on one and install it and then copy the EVE folder to my removeble hdd and copy it to the other pc.
Now after doing so only my XP one work is there system file that is installed on to the windows folder this time around and what are they?
How can I fix this? downloading the whole client is offer 7GB and I only got a 5GB cap. |

oh and one other thing <Nags> When I sign on sometimes I get an all black screen. I can see my ships in the hangar bay and my items but no main ship. Nuff said, Have fun fixin this down date.

I seem to have lost the ability to alter the faces of my avatar in the character editor. I get the movement lines on the body but not the face, whether the creator is in head mode or fully body.

Ok CCP character creation still doesnt work, so i have decided to do this i am going to keeep playing and if it tells me that i need a potrait to log in and character creation still doesnt work i am deleting my account and since multiple people in game have metioned doing the same thing you need to do something i dont care if my pic is just a silloute but i can still log on. why did you do this did you honestly miss the fact that so many people cant create a picture sure everyone wanted it but you were so focused on trying to get it out as fast as possible you didnt stop and think is this going to lock people out of the game did we do this right any of those thoughts

The behavior now with the new 'no standing' state in the overview confuses me. If you uncheck this state, you only see pilots on the overview for whom you have a contact. But there are many pilots I might wish to see (outlaws etc) while still filtering neutral/no standing. I mean if I check on 'outlaw' AND I check off 'no standing', I am not seeing outlaws any more! Is that intended? I am not sure frankly if I would even see war targets!
Shouldn't 'no standing' be a boolean OR instead of a boolean AND?
check OUTLAW + uncheck NO STANDING should be OUTLAW, not NOTHING
etc.

There were two major features of Incursion 1.1
1. Sansha Incursions
2. New character creator
1 functions.
2 has functionality for approximately 90% of the players. About 10% of your users cannot use one of the major features of Incursion 1.1, CCP. That's unacceptable. "But more IMPORTANT things need to be fixed first!"
Like the magical Amarrian hoods? The missing blade on the space station ventilation? The Retriever having been painted yellow? My petition responses have been useless (update DirectX/graphicdrivers/C++, turn down graphics settings, etc) and none have solved the problem for the majority of users facing this issue. I've played Eve for a good FIVE years, and never have I encountered a major issue that wasn't resolved within the first week of the client update, or at least acknowledged as "oops, we done ****ed up". It's been a week and a half, I'm thinking, and CCP isn't even addressing it other than the same "Oh, update your stuffs" that's in the petition responses, meaning CCP is blaming this on the users.
I'm done. I've put in my cancellation.

It has not gone unnoticed that you guys at CCP have at long last (along with all the other glitches recently), tried to tame the private chat windows and i for one want to thank you for that since i posted quite a lot about it.
At the moment, private chats that YOU instigate will open where you place the last private chat, which IS an improvement. Though it seems when someone else instigates the private chat with you, the windows still opens in the bottom left corner rather than in the stack with the chats you personally start.
Also, when using 2 clients on 2 screens, it used to be the case that you could hold down CTRL and select targets from the overviews of either client without 'focussing' the mouse/keyboard to that client with an otherwise functionless mouse-click before using CTRL.
At the moment you have to release CTRL and waste a click in order to make the client register that you are pressing CTRL.
These are now minor issues, secondary to anything game breaking. But these 2 small issues are broken when compared to the client before incursion.
So thats it, just a thanks and another nudge for you to polish the UI back to at least its previous state before expanding it. :)

I do not see neutrals as neutral in local. I see them as blue...Huge problem Id rather have no local period but this is kinda one sided.
I lost all my bookmark folders and now have hundreds of books marks in some systems not organized...There should be an import export for this!
In game browser has stopped working.
When my client reboots it shows unknown as far as how many users in game and I can not connect. This stops me from loading the last patch.
I just cleared all types a cache and settings as a last ditch effort and still nothing. I am now uninstalling the game settings and cache.
The only good thing you have come out with in the past year to me is align to bookmarks.

OK So I have removed the game, cache, settings. I have even used your repair tool. The game is still in a loop. Load this patch...It says it has completed loading and restarts client to unknown status. I put in my info and get this generic message.
Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong.
I have written petitions for many of the problems stated above before the log in problem and I have received no solution. I guess I will avoid this patch till you get it fixed.

I Have a problem with portraits. I create new portraits (avatars if you want) after this patch (1.1.2) and when i login to EVE there are still my old portraits. I tried to clear cache but nothing happens. In EVE Gate my portraits are ok. Any idea what do with it ?

havent had a problem with the updater since I re-installed my OS (vista32) 6 Months ago, before that patches were a nightmare.
If you are having corruption issues I suggest a re-install, it will help your overall system performance as well.

If it meant to re-install the entire game everytime it has "A" patch, it is not convince to me that it should be the appropriate approach from developer side and including weekly patch for this expansion too.
re-download the game 5GB each week is not something make sense to me tho.
so it mean I should subscribe the game after the game is stable in Incursion Patch and downtime everyday for 1 hour while not knowing I have to re-install the whole game or not?....
It would be a shame that CCP would lost alot of customers to just try to drive incomplete expansion into the game while not ready.....
I, myself, respect and happy with the game content so far although I just play it for like 2-3 weeks, but for the company to lose the customers because of technically but not in-game content itself would be too bad.......

No Option to recreate any of my Char Pictures comes up. I am happy with my main but wanted to change the second Characters Look.
Could this be because I didnt take the last chance to recreate my main and checked the "dont ask me again" Checkbox?

I downloaded the patch and it went totally ok, then i play until now without finalizing the portrait and when i log in today after dt and try to go into character creator client crashes, then reboots and says server status "unknown". |

2 days ago i had a really mean bug!!! i eas in my rappier searching for farmer + healing sec status!! well while i was in scalding pass (x2-z) my gauns failed to reload tried to cjhnage ammo eject from ship and online offline them but no improvement keep getting a message that they reload nut still empty, jumped in ryc and wo but same situation!! when i jumped in gk5 (insmother) it fixed!! curious enough went back to scalding pass and the issue came back !!!! no guns reloading!! is scalding pass no fire zone?? lol
i petitioned but no reply!!and btw diying with no ability to use guns sucks!!
p.s. dont like to whine about bugs but next time i thin i ll petition a stuck character

"Selected Item" window resizing on undock.
Every time I undock, the "Selected Item" window is being resized to some type of default. It's larger than what I want it to be, so it pushes the overview/drone windows down accordingly.
The problem for me extends to the fleet window, which also doesn't keep the size I gave it, but opens as a default way too large. I'm not 100% sure whether the actual overview/drone windows do the same, as the the "selected item" window above and fleet window below both resize, making it hard to tell.
On my alt account, the "selected item" window behaves the same way, but the Fleet window keeps its size.
I tried to "reset to default window positions", hoping that would fix it, but it didn't.
Running Windows 7, 64bit version here.

a few issues i've noticed:
when i log into the game, numerous times the station background does not load until i log out and back in.
the icon for my Hawk Assault Ship does not load.
i just installed 5x +4 implants (replacing my 5x +3 implants) and my training queue jumped from 23 hours to 1 day and 3 hours.
