I've been out of the game for months because I had an old Athlon XP3200, which didn't support SSE2. I've finally managed to beg/steal/borrow an old Athlon 64 and now I get this. It seems that there's a simple workaround in just copying in the dodgy file for those who have a backup of it, but CCP won't implement it or provide the file for download. Getting to the point of giving up this game tbh.
Anyway, post rant: I have an Athlon 64 and I've noticed that everyone else who's mentioned CPU has the same. Is anyone having this problem who is not using an old Athlon 64? Additionally, has anyone got any setup other than Athlon64/XP SP3/Old Radeon combination?

Edited by: Meklon on 30/03/2011 18:13:47 Same issue, restored from an old cache copy. (Linky below)
Obviously extract the linked RAR file to your cache folder and overwrite all the existing files. There's still a few images missing, but it certainly was an improvement to the missing ones I had. Cache Backup (Nov 2010)

My pc has an "old" Intel Pentium 4 3.00 GHZ. No idea if it supports SSE2.

Yeah, P4s do support SSE2, now required to run the game.
Thanks for the cache download :)

@Meklon Thanks a lot for this. Could you also copy the bpos? (the ships & drones bpos are also missing)
It should be in this folder X:\Documents and Settings\xXxXxX\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\X_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility\cache\Pictures\Blueprints
BP picture cache (Nov 2010)

Been having this issue for months and finally it is fixed, not by ccp of course. While running Steam it asked if I wanted it to check/update my ATI drivers, it found update (8.831.2.0) and after clearing eve cache all my icons are back. One note, make sure that in ATI catalyst that "disable Catalyst A.I. is checked" (settings/3d/all settings). Fingers are crossed that this weeks patch don't break it again.Hope this helps others because ccp is refusing to even answer this thread with any help.
Specs. AMD 64 processor ATI 4600 HD graphics card
