Problem
people make deliberate mistakes while in remote repair fleets, to get whole fleets killed by concord, thereby helping Sansha and the looters.
Simple solution
Make supporting player criminals in a Incursion site no longer a criminal offense.
Effect
Concord kills offender using an insane alpha strike and leaves within the minute. Only the abuser gets killed, the rest of the fleet stays intact. And repairing a criminal NPC will remain a offense that brings concord in of course.
Effect of not implementing this fix
I think few in their right mind will ever be able to finish a high security system based incursion, leaving it exclusively to already well trained PVP pilots from a single corporation only. Even mixed corporation fleets within the same alliance would not occur as the risk of blowing up the whole fleet by activating that turret instead of the remote repair module would blow up the whole fleet!

Edited by: Furb Killer on 27/01/2011 15:14:51 Making special rules for incursions in relation to concord is the easiest way to get ridiculous bugs later. A normal, logical solution would be simply to shut down RR and give a popup that he is a criminal, with the option to ignore the warning in the future (at least for low sec). Similar to what happens when you start RR'ing someone with GCC.

This idea would probably be the best bet for all RR'ing anywhere in EvE.

CONCORD is a stupid and utterly broken mechanic that destroys any sense of immersion in the game.
Here's what SHOULD happen:
If you attack someone in highsec your clone privileges are revoked and you get bumped back to an alpha clone with no way of buying back until you are podded, then a 25 to 500M CONCORD bounty is put on your head depending on your total SP, then you get set flashy red to everyone.
So you will lose all your skills, people will be trying to kill you because 25m+ is a nice payday, and there's no godlike superships which nobody else can fly showing up to kill everyone except the evil space-zombies who are destroying the entire universe

Simpler solution
Don't fleet with people you don't know. Make friends, join a player corp.
RR doesn't need to be changed, Players need to.

Your post reminded me of that Iraqi minister for information during the 2nd gulf war. Shiite exploding everywhere, yet still yelling everythings cool, nothing to seee here...

Make Concord jam the RR ship(s) for a set number of cycles, kill the aggressor. A simple fix that would put to right this broken mechanic immediately.

Holy ****... That's an awesome idea. The only thing I could see wrong abou that is abuse of the system for free bounties. It'd be better if the faction navies attacked you and you were flashy red to everyone, and the bounty was just hrown out. regardless, I'm making a thread for it. All credit to you.

Why would concord need to jam the RR ship? No amount of remote repping from a incursion size fleet is gonna save that bad boy from being instapwned.
Remote repping someone getting concorded is about as useful as attacking a stargate, oddly enough, despite the complete pointlessness of both actions, concord still kicks you ass for both.

his idea is far from a good idea the only important thing he said in this message was the space zombies.

RR doesn't need to be changed, Players need to.
RR change needs to come in place, just to curb the asshatery that EVE allows. Change needs to come from both sides which altering that mechanic can bring about, not just the one side that gets screwed over by the other and must "lol! You got me!" suck it up. Alter the CONCORDOKEN mechanic to not cause instant BBQ because you fit a smartbomb, now you can trust someone not to screw you over on sight. Get to know them after a couple weeks and they join your corp, then you can web/scram/demand ransom/destroy ship/pod them with zero reduction of sec as they were in corp. Removing free form contract didn't remove scamming, it just removed the easiest method of doubling isk so one can assumg that changing the CONCORDEN mechanic will at the same time still allow you to blow up other players ship if thats what your thing is (you know, you will actually work to gain their trust then instead of reyling on blind stupidity because its so much eaiser then even trying in the first place ) and at the same time will cause other people to start to trust one another so they leave the NPC corps for the harsh universe that you want to be a dbag in.
