Edited by: Utor Arkon on 27/01/2011 20:38:04 Hello, Im running 3 accounts at the moment. used to run 2 earlier with high settings and 1920x. resolution on 2x 23'' monitors. Just as I got 3rd account I got laggy gameplay so I reduced it to low/medium to get back to 60fps, altho I dont like the messy and blurry low quality graphics at all. Im looking for suggestions, experiences and ideas on proper graphics card to run all 3 accounts back in High settings and also, how you feel about getting 3rd screen? And do you people use multiple cards instead of upgrading to better card when multiclienting eve?
My specs: CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T RAM: 8GB Graph: ATI radeon HD 4890

Yeah had the same problem on my 4890, but added this Arctic Cooling - cooler and its down to 30-40celsius :), otherwise I would have even more graphics problems.

well, if you want to get another screen, you'll have to get another card. but it will take care of the lag. |

My system is very similar to that except it uses a Phenom II x4 940. I can run 4 accounts on high. All I do is turn depth effects, HDR and Shadows off and they run fine at 1920x1080 with 2xAA. Becasue those effects don't do enough for me to really notice.
But a good 5870 will certainly improve the ease that you can run them at.
The 4890 runs hot, but that's by design, about 75-80C.

4 accounts with 2 x OC GTS460's on 4 24" 1920x1200 monitors. Easy Peasy.
Another 2 accounts on 2 x 51" HDMI TV's using the mini HDMI ports but thats pushing it. The performance hit coupled with the low resolution doesn't make it worth the effort.
