Edited by: Railman85 on 27/01/2011 20:40:34 Edited by: Railman85 on 27/01/2011 20:34:47 I created website, very similar to eve central trade finder available at: trade finder
How does it work Step 1: enter starting solar system Step 2: select target trade hub (available Jita, Rens, Hek, Amarr) Step 3: select filters if necessary (minimal profit per m3, product category, minimal profit ratio, etc)
The website will propose you offers which you can buy in selected solar system and sell them in selected trade hub. Additionaly you can view product details, check refine/manufacture report, sort offers by total profit/profit per and lot other stuff.
Personaly I use this tool to buy cheap stuff in minor hubs and haul them to bigger trade hub, but it also works to trade beetwen bigger hubs.
Other information - Site is compatible with eve ingame browser - The tool compares sell prices (ask prices) between starting and target solar system (unlike eve-central finder tool, which tries to find corresponding sell and buy offers) - The site uses database from eve central - Offers are updated everyday around 3 AM (Greenwich time) - Offers presented on the site aren't live, which mean the longer report time of the offer, the higher probability that it won't be available on the market.
Suplementary tools available at the website - market offers report available for each product ( tritanium example ) - refine offers finder (will find offers profitable for refining) - manufacture product finder (will find product profitable to manufacture) - manufacture, refining calculators
Thanks for bug reports, ideas and other feedback

Erm, nice idea I guess ... But what's the point of using your tool instead of Eve Central's one when you'll always have outdated prices compared to them ?

Edited by: Railman85 on 27/01/2011 22:11:54 my idea was to improve this tool by adding more filters and making it more handy (you got pricing, reprocess, manufacture tools in one place, you just need to click the link to see the report) It also work in different way - it compares ask prices instead of finding corresponding sell and buy offers (this is how eve central works now and by doing it, it missed many good trades)
It's not a replacement for eve-central finder tool, I still use this one at eve-central because: - as you mentioned, it has data which is more fresh, I can get extra stuff to buy - I want to verify my search result - Sometimes I need to find good buy offers

The market data is outdated (meaning I'd never use it), so this tool really doesn't do anything. But I suppose it's nice to have another alternative.. :S ______________________________ War... War never ends. |

Your putting together a nice collection of tools there but they all suffer from the same limitation, your data is dated because you are reliant on eve central nightly dump.
I believe you need to start thinking about having your own data uploader.

Edited by: Railman85 on 28/01/2011 13:13:15 well, if 3 people out of 3 complain the same issue, it means you must be right
It will be my priority to fix that, I even got an idea how to do that

Edited by: Railman85 on 09/02/2011 13:40:49 I did what you told and recently I have worked hard on making the data more fresh: - The data is downloaded both from eve-central.com and eve-marketdata.com and merged into one database - It does not rely on nightly dump anymore - instead the market data is downloaded as soon as it is uploaded to eve-central and eve-marketdata.com - All services on the website use that merged database: refine finder | trade finder | product offers finder
Do you know any other sources of market data except od eve-market.com and eve-marketdata.com? Additional data sources would certainly improve all those tools :)

Edited by: Caldariftw123 on 09/02/2011 14:15:01 I discovered some of your other tools last night .. I like your indexes, thanks for doing them they are fantastic. I was a day or two away from making my own for my own use and thus you have saved me some effort lol
I looked at your refine finder, it's a nice idea but it just seems flawed .. it brings up refines like (this very second) a raven, which if I refined it would yield a profit of 84million isk or so .. Except it's based this on an "offer" price of 0.01 isk ?? Where does it get some of these silly offer prices from? Perhaps you can build in some kind of filter to get rid of the junk data in your data dumps? Maybe set some sort of profit % rate that you deem unrealistic (2.3x10^67 for example is likely not a valid product offer lol) and just junk any of those offers out of hand so they are not displayed. Have fun =)
edit: clearly you are working on it and expanding, so don't take this as some bad criticism :P

Because your tool uses sell to sell, it seems more useful to me to have a quick guide to what items are good to place buy order for and haul, rather than trying to use it to make a quick buck hauling sell orders to buy orders, like eve-central trader is usually used for.
Looks like some improvement is needed, but you're working on it. I look forward to seeing what comes up.

This order was from eve-central. It's a great source of orders but people sometimes upload trash or fake data there. What I'm trying to do all the time is to filter such trash (and looks like I still got lots to do)
Actually all I need now is criticism, because I need to fix bugs and know how to makes this thing better. I really appreciate reporting those offers

Great work, and I'm looking forward to further improvements. I also like the idea of Sell-Sell comparison
Would it be also possible to have an option to see Buy-Sell comparisons? That would also attract traders who are looking to maximise their margins in inter-regional trading.

I'd love to see this. Also, I think I worded my previous post poorly. I do like the sell-sell more than what eve-central is offering. Your new tools look like they have a lot of potential.
Please do implement a Buy-Sell. Especially if you are going to find a way to have a more constant upload of data regarding market prices.

I implemented new feature for this tool.
You are now able to see enrouted offers from start location, to target location.
For example if you select Nonni as start location and Jita as target location - it will show you all profitable offers from solar system located on your road trip: example Eve Tools - Tools for eve; manufacturing, reprocessing calculator, trade finder, market browser, product prices, trade hubs ranking |
