Forgive me in advance if I have missed a thread on this, but except for an occasion mention, I haven't seen a good list of ships popular in fleets to help fight off the Incursions.
I have a strong Caldari (Shields) who can fly Raven, Drake, Scorpion (great ewar skills) etc... but heard shield based ships not the right way to go?
If not I have a strong Amarr (Armor) but someone warned me lasers might not be popular due to cap neuting?
My main reason for asking is so far no Incursion has been close to me, and if I travel I would rather not bring a ship no one wants in their fleet.

It all comes down to logistics, really. You can have the best tank out there, but without logistics, it will just get blowed up at a slightly slower rate than a non-tank.
Fleets should have similar tanks so it's easier for logistics to ratchet everything down.
Depends on what the rest of the fleet is using, imo.

Go with pods. Sansha can't even shoot them.
Seriously though, shield tanks tend to be an issue because it increases the sig, and Sansha use a lot of torps.
As for Amarr, make sure to have either energy transfer logis or cap boosters.
Key thing, whatever ship you use, make sure to fit it for PvP.

Thanks for the advice so far, I fully understand you don't want a fleet mixing shield and armor tankers, and that logistical ships are a good thing. However was looking more for advice on which particular ships are popular (best) in a shield tanking fleet, and which ships are popular (best) in an armor tanking fleet. As in specific ships... so I don't arrive in a ship no one wants after jumping so far...
