I have been running missions for quite a long time, I even have 10.0 standing with several corps. Recently though I have been missioning alot for a particular courier agent because I like the LP store. The corp is one that I have 10.0 standing with as well.
My question is, would it be logical to decline couriers and anti-faction missions even during my cooldown? I have talked to someone about this before and he said he makes more money (obviously really) by taking the standing hits and getting more worthwhile missions than worrying about standing and waiting out the 4 hour cooldown. Yey or ney?

As long as you don't eventually knock your standings too low to use that agent, who cares about being 10.0? You built that cushion, use it.

Get your *faction* rating above the agent's required standings. Then you can decline all day long.

Decline drops all 3 standings, including faction.

Yes but, a) you only need one of the standings to be above the agent's required standing, and b) the faction standings loss is tiny: * -0.0112% Mission Declined - Attack of the Drones * -0.0112% Mission Declined - War Situation - Part 1 * 0.7426% Mission Completed - Materials for War Preparation
.7426 / .0112 = 66 missions declined. I'm pretty sure I can find 16 missions that I can be bothered to complete before declining 66+ missions.
A downside is that your standings with the Agent's corp might suffer and thus you might get hit with a reprocessing tax.
It's also a bit tedious to get your faction standings high enough for good level 4 agents.

My Faction (and the sub faction(?) I guess you would call it) are well above the agents standing requirement, so I should be fine.
Just for clarification, I said "Courier Agent" but I meant to say "Public Relations." My bad.
