Ok heres my uber idea for tech 4 ships
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
level 5 of a load of rank 1 skills
IDEA
The ships would use subsysytems like the tech 3 ships do BUT instead of being a cruiser they are capital ships so you could have a carrier and refit it as a dread or a titan :D
Of course you would have to skill up the tech 4 subsystem skills which would be rank x2 skills.
To level out the playing feild and not upset those that spend a few years getting to capital ships we could make it so if you lose you tech 4 uber capital you lose one rank of a random subsystem skill. -First there was nothing then there was Xistance, then it all got kinda Twisted- |

Capitals are the worst things in the game. Maybe a ship between BS and Capitals to add, but no more caps. Everyone else had a sig and i felt lonly :( |

He is ineloquently complaining that T3 cruisers have replaced the need for almost any other ship. They are easier to train than T2 cruisers, more effective than battleships, and cry, complain, etc.

My tech 4 idea would involve multiple pilots controlling multiple systems of a ship, and losing that ship would cause a group loss.
Each player brings a certain subsystem to the ship. They are in in direct charge of that subsystem.
Navigation, tactical, electronic warfare, local tanking, drone control, logistics and survey.
That'd be an epic ship right there.

Are you kidding me? Have you ever tried to get a fleet up and running yet you now want 2 (YES TWO! - MORE THAN ONE!) people to control a ship????
I would say the odds are higher that I would win the lottery and have co-operation between 2 pilots.
Hmmm. On thinking about this idea, there is HUGE potential. What are the GANK/GRIEF possibilities in this?

Having 20/20 vision if the intention here, as long as you can only train the skills while sat in the ship and when it dies you automatically lose 100% of that skill along with the ship ( which you can't eject from), sounds like a good counter to super cap s getting out of control.

NOOOOOOOO D: not capitals >.< that would be to much training and they would be to much overpowerd. the only thing i might consider is to make strategic battle-cruisers.
