Located in empire.
Min bid/reserve*: 2.5b Buyout: 6b, though I'll entertain other reasonable offers.

*I'm not a fan of people that'll jerk you around with a hidden reserve.

how about we just let this auction run for a week.. a "Buyout" auction is a bit rediculous.
btw I will bid higher than the current offer.. for now i'm going to sleep, so by all means take his offer or wait till morning and lets see where the auction goes.

Wow, I walk away to do some errands and come back to this. You're right, a buyout auction is a little silly and wasn't what I intended. If nobody objects (ipot, Mullayim, Irwin), I would suggest the following:
Eve-mail me a final b/o offer in the next 24 hours, and I'll go with the highest.
I realize it's different than the original terms, but I think it's the quickest way to move this without having a week long bidding war. If I don't see anything in my eve-mail from you guys, then I'll assume you want to continue a bidding war :)

or instead of a buyout auction, you could always take the radical option and try a *normal* auction.
Set an end time of say 18:00 on sunday (today) with a 10 minute sniper rule. If people are still bidding by say 18:30, then invite the bidders into a chat channel and finish it face to face. (Post the outcome in the auction thread)
Be aware that the resellers will not like this method, as it will cut into their profit when they try to resell the blueprint tomorrow.
Good luck with your auction

Dear oogs, please consider this idea of Bluebeard.
If you don't, I'll surely and definitely send you an eve-mail offer - I want this print, and, trust me, not for reselling.
But, if you please, I wish I could participate in this suggested auction.
Thank you. |

Thanks for the input. I think that changing to the blind format will make it less attractive for resellers, as they'll have to worry about what the other party is doing and either bid higher and cut their profit, or bid lower (with the hope that everyone else does) and not get this. Producers should know the value/profitability of this BPO already, so they might be willing to go a little higher. Also, assuming I get an offer via eve-mail, I did cut the auction short (0200EVE Monday, or in about 10 hours).
RNRStar: feel free to send an offer over eve-mail, I will consider it as well.
