Could someone please tell me what X-Rated Holoreels are for and where you get them from?

Holoreels are a sort of mediastorage/-device containing music-clips, movies or shows. While they are very popular in liberal Gallente space, most of the holoreels get x-rated (due to adult/explicit content) in prude Amarr Empire.

They used to be a specific item for low level courier mission, Stag Party, haven't seen them for a long while.

Damn, I could imagine what X-rated holo-reel is and I can read in-game descriptions all right, but they are not used in any inventions, LP stores or cosmos missions? If so why are they being sold in contracts for millions of isk?

Can't you create them using a exotic dancers, crate of luxury liqueurs, 'x-instinct', some holoreels and a janitor to clean up after. Just steer clear of 'drop'

Some people like to have stuff like this in their hangars/cargo holds as lycky charms or whatever. I looted a bunch of them when I did Caldari Cosmos I think.

Generic loot dropped in cans left behind by popped npc structures, especially ones like brothels or bars.
Think of it as the grey-colored flavour loot of EVE. Up there with exotic dancers, prostitutes, marines and militants, used as a lucky charm.

You think this is neat, you should have seen Quafe Girl back in the day. Along with the Gallente Pleasure Station interior, or whatever it was called. I spent most of my days as a nullsec noob in a station with this background, and was greatly saddened to discover that it is apparently no longer in the game.
RIP Quafe Girl, and damn it CCP, stop being pussies and put all the mature crap back into your game.
